Looking at current IE vs. FireFox and other browser trends coupled with users' and developers' desires for improved, efficient, simple and attractive interfaces, it would seem that IE will eventually lose market share if it doesn't keep up and support Canvas.
So yes, in answer to your question, IE will support Canvas. However, there is no telling to what degree it will be compatible with other browsers and to what extent it will be broken.
I can't help but notice that our neighbors south of the border are so totally obsessed with really really big things. Now take this telescope for instance. I've been hearing about this since forever. So someone help me out here, I'm really trying to understand this...
First off, what need is there for such a big telescope anyways? I mean, who do you need to watch? or probe?
Second, it's not how big it is, isn't it all in how you use it?
Third, why's it so hard to keep it up? Can't you use something like Viagra?
And finally, it's ok to be gay. Heck, in Canada, you can even get married!! --- Just a migrant Canadian trying to understand... [Aside to other Canadians: Please, don't piss'em off! 'cause we know what happens to countries they don't like!!]
Then, a bunch of punk ass kids get away with acting out violent Grand Theft Auto scenes.
If that weren't enough, they made the gov't admit systemic racism to boot.
Now they're all going open source? What the $!@# is goin' on? I guess you can really have your cake and eat it too!
I'd pack up, move to Paris and join all that debauchery if I weren't scared piss of the US gearin' up for Operation Liberate France! Them nuke-totin' anarchists will not be allowed to get away with all this terrorism.
'Dell Inc has informed its Taiwan contract makers of plans to develop devices based on Advanced Micro Devices Inc's microprocessors, and these suppliers are awaiting orders for global shipment'
They will only be based on AMD microprocessors. No one said anything about dropping the Intel Inside slogan as we maintain a healthy partnership with Intel.
Yes, yes, we already have these. They're known as 3rd world labor to some and child labor to others. I suppose they will be needing their own IPs to report productivity? Perhaps direct links to Hyperion backends of multinationals?
Looks like info around HIV and STDs is becoming fuzzy:
Earlier workshops told us to always-always-always use condoms, but in the past few years the line has changed to 'bareback oral is very low risk, but bareback anal (or vaginal) is high risk'. For a while I was getting mixed messages from the two camps, but now they seemed to have settled on the latter.
About a decade ago many doctors were saying that they believed HIV could be cured if it was hit hard and fast with cocktail drugs in the early stages. The medical community now seems to have abandoned that idea altogether.
Now there is all this talk about HIV affecting people differently or not at all. I had a friend who died of HIV/AIDS within 4 years of being diagnosed. I have another friend who has been positive for over 22 years now. He occasionally gets sick, but otherwise seems to be fine. Although he dances too much.
A week ago I went to my doctor and she said that info on herpes is no longer considered accurate, because they now believe that the virus is being shed even when there is no breakout. Not only that, but it's evolved into a form that can cross-infect, that oral herpes can be contracted via genital contact and genital herpes can be contracted with oral contact.
Seeing as all this info going around is morphing, I'm beginning to get this uneasy feeling that maybe no one really knows what's going on.
I'll have you know that with those long black hair, those soft dark eyes, that bushy moustache, and the gorgeous beard (no wonder he's a freedom fighter!), some of us are quite ready and willing, eager infact, to please:)
WOW!!! I for one am all hot and wet just thinking about getting fucked by him!
I downloaded the book. However, at 160 pages it seems a little intimidating. I'm not a real programmer, I just code. What I had in mind was something akin to a 2 to 10 page (max) tutorial that would help me learn about it, and then I could apply it to my Perl code.
I did something like this before, there was a 2 page tutorial on the net that showed functional programming for perl. It showed you various techniques like passing functions into functions and making compound functions. Stuff like that has come in handy.
So, at the moment I've written stuff to generate user interfaces and databases given a description of how they should look like (using XML). I'm wondering how I can move beyond using arrays, hashes, and objects in Perl. The article sounds like there might be something that the Functional people have figured out about writing application logic and user interface Models (as in the M of MVC) that I can steal from. Is this true?
Sad: It seems that he is speaking from his personal experience which comes from being caught in a position of financial stress and capital pressures (economic oppression). It is common to become cynical against others when you have been hurt and taken advantage of. We all go through experiences like this, but the trick is not to get caught in the oppressors net as the "it's everyone for themselves" mentality can end up exploiting you instead.
Angry: I keep having to deal with this over and over again. Generally, people will not recognize systemic oppression and patronize/stereotype others to avoid an indepth analysis instead. Yes, I do a reasonable amount of "free" work and am relatively young, but I will charge him for the analysis instead of my code. His letter is dripping with ageism and classism, and at a certain point I have to say he should probably reflect within his reality than pigeon-hole politics in a coin slot. It's that analysis that will cost him money.
Response: Other than the above, I think a healing process needs to take place. It takes a lot of time to break out of these negative class serving cycles. He may not realize it, but he is the one being exploited by corporations more than the young programmer.
I gave my first talk 2 days ago on trying to radically reshape free tech culture which I believe will help it move well beyond, uh, "oppressive" software?
I work with a wide array of people and am looking to gather volunteers to collectively work on this from a very wide range of backgrounds.
I can hardly believe it, I just came home after giving a talk to a Perl group, talking about a bunch of stuff (freedom, accessibility, diveristy in the tech culture, how things need to change, etc) and the user interface was a large portion of it. Maybe things have finally begun to change! Anyhow, an outline of it is here:
I fail to see how this is a troll. I agree with it, and it's somewhat on topic. Some of the mods out there need to learn how to be objective.
...can anyone suggest a solution? Will ear plugs or something of the like help me?
..I told you I'm smart, it's not my fault no one understands me, they just don't stick around to listen.
Now gimme some good karma +5 funny.

Dude, I think you might have some insecurity issues around your telescope. Remember, it's all in how you use it. Here's some pointers to help get you started:i lla-search&start=0&start=0&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&clien t=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official

Yes, I vote for bigger telescopes. We can't have those terrorists running around with telescopes bigger than ours.
Yes, but will this help with upskirts and beaver shots?
billions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced.
it's easier to hack them than read their docs.
First, they start with beheading a stupid queen.

...they've been watching too much CSI.
my excuse is gonna be reading slashdot and coding in Perl.
They will only be based on AMD microprocessors. No one said anything about dropping the Intel Inside slogan as we maintain a healthy partnership with Intel.
We will continue to ship Intel Inside machines.
how about a reality show of daily life in the US?
the Brits'll never let him out.

One slide is about repartitioning Linux:
http://abuzar.com/tpm/slides/slide24.html
Right now there's only an outline of things that we're working on at http://abuzar.com and we'll put up a more concrete and detailed plan by March 14.
Progressive thinkers, and diverse minded people are greatly needed for this project
