Talking about living world interactions, there is no other class engaging with full body movements as PE in K-12 schools. But, PE sucks. There is no teaching of sports, e.g. baseball, or soccer, or gymnastics, etc. There is no teaching of basic skills in running, or jumping, or throwing.
A social network could be viewed as a big pipe carrying information. Most of time, it does not "create" content. Then, does "Net Neutrality" imply a "Social Net Neutrality"?
While Facebook / Google et. al. are fighting for Net Neutrality, I am wondering whether Net Opinion Neutrality should be. Policing public opinion should not be the duty of any company. Otherwise, we will have money controlled opinion policing.
A big question is who can scope the legal boundary of online corporate opinion policing.
Create a federal news agency in charge of truth? Wait a minute, it sounds like TASS in Soviet Union?
IMHO, if our public schools are successful in educating everyone, we should have enough common sense and be immune from fake news and various bias. Sadly, a lot of bias and fake stuff are in our public schools/universities.
I have not been accusing that Android is inferior to iOS. Instead, I simply state a fact that letting apps off the hook and access all those user information is a big mistake.
I was so disappointed on iPhone 8/X this year. Bought an Android phone, many apps requested permission to access my contact, phone, and location. Could not take this! Bought an iPhone 8P at the end.
Kids can be very disruptive when they are very young. Most of 5 years old won't sit quietly listen to teachers. And I believe universal pre-K will fail for sure.
If a classroom is organized, it is likely that students could have a better chance to get something (if teachers can teach well).
Could we allow teachers to throw chalks? Timeout chair? These ancient techniques may work. Is there any high tech tool helpful?
Living in US, my concern is the fact-checking effort from Facebook, Google, Twitter....

It sounds good on the surface. In the end, it won't be rosy. In a democratic society, the ultimate way to prevent fabricated facts is education. However, our public education system is...?!
Millions of coders are not with CS discipline degrees. In addition, code discipline can be trained, data structures and algorithms can be taught in middle school.
It is generally recognized that girls are generally ahead of boys on language and social studies. This is natural. If creating language schools for boys is a solution, it should have been there years ago.
What I see is that technology and STEM educations in lower grades are boring. Girls are already advanced so much and they do not like those boring stuff.
Personally, I am convinced that software programming skill can be taught effectively in elementary school with proper curriculum. In addition, it is really necessary for anyone to go through universities to become a good coder.
auto-pilot plane was available several decades ago because the complexity of flying is significantly lower than that of driving.
if i can, i would bet on auto-pilot flying machine.
For elementary level education, it is a SIN to have any curriculum that only super/excellent/great teachers can teach kids well. My observation as a PTA board member now is that poorly a designed curriculum package make both teachers and students suffer.

Totally from a different perspective.

Technology really evolves quickly.
LA sounds a good place to build BFR and a space port.

Can people figure out how it discriminates against certain race or gender?
Face recognition sounds a decision made in these two years. It is not mature enough and convenient enough. Touch ID still rocks.

Seriously. After seeing all sorts of app accessing my contact, my phone, my location, I decided to switch back to iPhone.
I was so disappointed on iPhone 8/X this year. Bought an Android phone, many apps requested permission to access my contact, phone, and location. Could not take this! Bought an iPhone 8P at the end.
How appropriate!

There is a country called China. That is my guess.
I plan to snatch back the leadership back by assembling a few millions of raspberry pi. YEAH!

Hmm... Bill Gates... Mark Zuckerberg...

Should let Google track the amount of time that people spend in front of phones/laptops/pcs. Then, they can send us a warning "Go Exercise Losers!"
The SXTZ display: 10.1". iPad Air display: 9.7"
If you won't care about the extra 128x336 pixels, I won't care about the extra 0.4 inches... Or the likely $100 price difference...
your math is horrible.
2048x1536=(1920+128)x(1200+336)=1920x1200+128x1200+1920x336+128x336
