(touchscreen! mic! two screens! how many games are actually going to use them effectively!)
Looks like most of them are using the dual screens and touchscreen effectively. I don't think many are using the mic, but it is another possibility to use in games.
I'd rather take new innovative games with a side of an N64 port with backwards compatibility (for the most part) with a ton of good games and the occasional (S)NES ports than some souped up graphics whore that uses optical media. Somehow I have more faith in carts over media when they actually need to take abuse.
Not to mention Sony's nice little habbit at making shitty optical drives and overstating specs.
Wait wait wait, Call for Help is still going on in Canada?
I liked that show better than most of the garbage G4 brought, but I'm not moving to Canada to see it. Why can't they just replace one of the crappy G4 shows with it down here in the US?
The Nintendo DS is not backwards compatible with the original GameBoy or GameBoy Color. That said, I'm hoping someone can pull it off with an addon that goes in the GBA game slot, because I have a few GBC games that I would rather not have to use my GBC for.
You seem to be forgetting that many original games are in the make. You know, innovation? Just because Nintendo has a habbit of recycling games on the GBA, the only recycled games on the DS seem to be those already out for the GBA.
Plus, the DS has WiFi, and some other proprietary wireless connection, and since when was the PSP a camera? Last I checked it was just an overly expensive batter whore that tries to do too many things at once. Besides graphics, crappy batter life, lack of sidetalking (or a phone period) and Sony, what is different between this and Ngage?
Sorry, the Nintendo DS is going to kick ass, and it is at least half as costly as the PSP.
0.8 was the first release called Firefox.
This coming from some random idiot copying the above posts posting as AC.
Cute.
Apparently it does.
just as the N64 could not play Game Boy Color exclusive titles
The SNES could. It's called the Super Game Boy.
The entire point is the lack of ability to burn your own UMDs. It is called "proprietary" for a reason.

Because we all know that a year headstart + major hype + backward compatibility means nothing.
Sure, we may have more than two parties, but considering how insignificant they are against the other two, does it really matter?

Fuckers.
That was an unfair use of the DMCA because it didn't require a CD-Key.
Since when did X-Box, Gamecube, and PS2 games have CD-Keys?
God I suck.
You forgot one.

Well duh. If a game doesn't go gold before it is released, people would be buying "OMGZ IT'S ALMOST FINISHED" copies.

You'd have nothing without Windows 1.0/Linux 1.0 so please stop your whining petitions that Windows 2000/Windows XP/Linux 2.6.x/etc are the best.
Except for that, you'd be better off with something like Virtual PC or VMware instead of completely emulating the archetecture.
Since when did the GBA:SP bring anything new to the GBA besides a backlight (or is it a frontlight?) and a new design?
Wow, a stupid troll, imagine that.

You use AOHell? My sympathies.
the DS is compatable with the entire GB and GBA series of games
Not quite correct on that point - the DS is only compatible with GBA games - it isn't compatible with GB and GBC games.
95% to 57% on one site? Trend? Where?
I belive the Windows Update installer first checks to see what parts are needed and then only downloads those parts.
I've only heard that it will be backwards compatible with the GBA, but not GB/GBP/GBC. And I don't care, I have a GBC that I never play anyways.
Pure command line sucks, I agree. But pure GUI sucks as well.
Especially with my half working mouse.
And the 95% of that 98% probably also don't know what Windows is, think it's something new, and go about typing their letter to grandma.
