I ran osx 10.0, 10.1, and 10.2 on my blueberry rev d imac with 192MB/ram until i put yellow dog linux on it. When i set up linux on my 866mhz p3, i tried to reinstall osx on it, but the cd-rom drive is shot >:|
Oh well, I want to get back on osx, but i want a relatively fast mac. That 333mhz G3 wasn't very fast (though i bet it'd run tiger if i xpostfacto'd it (since the installer chokes on less than 256MB of ram)
House is a decent show. There are some gems out there (I just replied to a post referencing the Venture Brothers, which is in my opinion the best show on TV (but not of the year, since it came out in 2004 and no new season until 2006 iirc))
i'm not trying to start a flame-war... I honestly want to know the right mindset to appreciate Galactica and it's airplane-style-flyin spaceships and odd notions that water is scarce in the universe but bullets are plentiful...Water is relatively scarce, but i see what you mean. Like that episode where the missile falls off the rack and takes out a few people on the flight deck. What kinda fucktards make missiles that go off just by smacking the floor? And like when galactica loses the fleet, how they have to jump back to where they were and THEN plot the destination... couldn't you just plot the course from where you are, and not have to worry about getting hacked by cylons???
I never liked numbers... I watched the first few episode and was disappointed... maybe they've gotten better. As far as scifi goes, there's nothing very good out there.
New stargate sg1 episodes suck, SG Atlantis used to suck, but it's gotten a little better, and.... uh... i know i just named two scifi channel shows so it seems like that's all I watch, but what other new science fiction shows are still going?
How does shakey-cam, bad acting, bad plot, and a completely unmaintainable suspension of disbelief turn into show of the year? Have you been watching TV recently? Tell me a show that's better than Battlestar Galactica, because i sure can't think of one.
Sure there are a few retarded episodes, and a few annoying holes in the storyline, but I think they've done a superb job with the remake.

When the intel macs come out, you'll probably be able to run iexplore in wine.
I for one am glad about this. Bought an r3000 last year and the battery has gone from about 3 hours at full blast brightness to about 1.5, probably due to the terrible plug design (it always falls out... always) Can't wait to get a new one.
If google does make an OS, my belief is that it would be web based. They've done alot of cool things with ajax so far, google maps, gmail and google suggest, and i bet they could do alot more.
How about google makes an ajax version of google talk that integrates aim, icq, msn, and yahoo im functionality. The technology is there, jabber servers already support this, it'd just be a matter of programming the web interface.
Then Google makes a ajax ms office clone... and what else...
Then you can access this wirelessly on google's wireless network.
Maybe they'll give everyone a big 2.5+gig file store that's tied to their gmail account to store and share files.
This may not be where google is going with this, but it would make sense.
And if they DID return results from information blocked by china's firewall, china would firewall Google out entirely. Whenever Google tries not to piss off China everyone always get pissed off; including China.
Hopefully not as terrible as the first

I don't understand how people can play the first game. FPS control without a keyboard and mouse is... difficult to say the least. And even with the PC version of Halo, it just seems like a watered down version of tribes to me.
Hopefully Halo 2 is drastically improved (so I actually have something to do with my friends over at their house)
I work for a Papa John's in Austin (on Brodie). We're currently selling EZ-Ds and have had quite a success with them.
With the "pizza and a movie" offers, we've been able to sell probably around 15 movies a day on average.
We sell the movies for a dollar less than everyone else and expired movies can be returned to us for a dollar off an order. We then recycle them
The problem I see with flexplay disks is that they're not being actively marketed. The deal with Papa John's is all marketing. I had to get used to saying "Thank you for choosing Papa John's on Brodie, this is )myname(, would you like a pizza and a movie tonight?" Most of the time, people will say "No thanks" but sometimes they say yes.
Leaving EZ-Ds on shelves won't sell them. It's hard enough trying to sell them when asking on the phone with a customer. But it pays off.
I THINK (I'm not quite sure) that our store has sold more EZ-Ds than all the other stores out there combined. (Don't quote me on that, but it seems pretty realistic).
EZ-Ds CAN succeed... I don't think they're quite dead yet.
And yes, someone actually has tried to run off with a movie (it was Sweet Home Alabama IIRC)
Us over here at http://www.ccgworkshop.com are constantly looking for people to join up. We use a (windows only:'( ) program called gEngine to play card games online, and have recently started porting over board games too.
If you have an idea for a board game, get on the forum and post your idea on the forum (under The Primordeal Pool) and we'll see if we like your idea and will get the development materials out to you.
We use XML and object pascal/vbscript (eww, i know, but it works) to represent games for use in gengine. Generally any programming knowledge is a big plus:)

Batman begins and (especially) bourne supremacy camera work was unacceptable. It ruined both movies for me.
