What you should be asking is "Is any DRM really secure?"
It doesn't matter how open the DRM scheme is, if there are holes, an enterprising cracker can find them.
Easynews really is excellent, I wish more servers allowed ssl encrypted connections.
Personally, I've switched to Giganews. 90 day retention is so awesome it's almost overwhelming (even though you pay a little more.)
I understand, it's hard not to be excited about the Wii.:D
Metroid Prime 3 had me sold.
But yes, no matter how the systems sell, IBM will be raking in the cash from the Xenon and Broadway cores. Correct me if I'm wrong, but IIRC, Sony is manufacturing the Cells for PS3s, but IBM holds a plethora of patents on that architecture and manufacturing process.
The xbox used an nvidia video chipset. The Xbox 360 has an ati video chipset called 'xenos'.
I'm sure this wouldn't have any effect on the consoles, i bet everything's all contracted and airtight between ati and microsoft/nintendo. IIRC, wasn't there some some drama between microsoft and nvidia over the xbox? I don't remember any specifics...
I think the major problem with the gamecube launch lineup was the lack of a Mario game. NES launched w/ Super Mario Bros, SNES had Super Mario World, N64 had Mario 64, and gamecube had... luigi's mansion...
It appears the Wii will suffer the same problem, as I hear SM Galaxy won't be out at lanuch.
Oh well, personally I'll be happy with a Zelda and Metroid game at least. Hell I still need to beat Wind Waker and MP 1 and 2... also Super Mario Sunshine, though that game doesn't feel right to me... maybe it's the 'jetpack'/'flamethrower'
"We're positioning the PS3 as a supercomputer", he says, "But people won't recognize it as a computer unless we call it a computer, so we're going to run an OS on it. In fact, the Cell can run multiple OSes. In order to run the OSes, we need a hard disk. So in order to declare that the PS3 is a computer, I think we'll have [the hard disk] preinstalled with Linux as a bonus.
I would like to see sony do this. I wouldn't even care if i had to pay the full cost of the hardware. If it's a full featured computer, I'd buy it for 800 bucks. It's gonna have a pretty nice video card and 7 vector units! Bluetooth, bluray, gigabit ethernet, etc... etc... Even for 900 it's a bargain if you can do whatever you want with the nice hardware. Hook up a hdtv and witness glory, of hardware accelerated nethack.
Just have some sort of lame ass drm to prevent you from playing pirated games. It'll get cracked eventually, but even the xbox 360's going to be modded. Just give it time.
Even if bluray doesn't win the war with hd-dvd, it'll be a contender. 27 gig bd-rs will eventually drop down in price. 27 gigs is quite a bit of data. I know i'll probably get a bd-r drive (probably to burn all those pirate... err... movies)
Unless they don't have any boxes ("coffins") left.
It's even in the Wikipedia article; in the first paragraph there too.
Get to it! See you in 2-4 hours.
Nobody plays chinpokomon anymore. Where have you been?!
We're all playing the Pearl Harbor bombing simulation now.
The real question is can Star Trek be used to predict the future?i ties_(DS9_episode)

Yes. That's what I did.
Because having three keys registered to one steam account would be... redundant to say the least (and impossible?).
The half life collection I bought years ago came with three valid half life 1 cd keys. So I have three steam accounts. How many do you have?
Yes, astronauts should be focused on solving world hunger and curing AIDS in Africa, and not this silly space travel stuff they were trained for.

This also happens to me with Tetris, and even more with Puyo Puyo.

Just keep your nose tuned for Ethanethiol (the odorant in natural gas).
I can smell that even when my allergies are bad.

The console wars are over before they even start. IBM wins.
My longest NS game was an 8v8 12 hour game on ns_bast in NS 2.0. The old bast was awesome :)
I do all my work through one or two citrix sessions (one here in the US, one in Germany).
It's not THAT bad, but yes, Citrix is rather annoying.
Cool the core down to near absolute zero...

... just make this game not fun.
Or is that the substandard gameplay or horrible control scheme?

Tom Cruise... oh wait... Scientist. Nevermind.
Bangai-O was my favorite DC game. They should do a remake for the DS.
Safari also exhibits that scrolling 'bug'.
I just tried it in 2.0.3.
A Kilowatt would be 1024 Watts
That would be a Kibiwatt, which would just be stupid to use.
Kilo=1000. Kibi (kilo+binary) = 1024
