I'm not in graphic design, but I've been using a Trackman with a scroll wheel for about 5 years and I love it. I have big hands, so it's much easier to use than a mouse. It also lets me keep my desk cluttered.
I'd have to say that the best definition of a planet would be a spherical object that orbits a star. Would it have to be a perfect sphere? No, but it would have to look like one from a distance. For example, although Earth is not perfectly spherical (it has an equitorial bulge), it does look spherical when seen from the moon.
"As a Texan, I'm glad that the last bits of that last session were spent trying to do more important things like finding funding for schools..."
Something the legislature in Austin didn't accomplish, because they were too busy doing important stuff, like regulating cheerleading and banning gay marriage. Thank God they got their priorities straight.
It sounds like the inclusion of PGP as evidence is similar to the way that accounts in the Caymans are used in fraud cases. Yeah, it's not illegal, but it is very likely that it helped the defendant do something illegal.
Because alot of the themes in Ender's Game reminded me of stuff that came up in episodes of ST:TOS. Read the parts in the book about why Valentine and Peter wern't selected for the school, then watch the TOS episode "The Enemy Within."
And who cares? Is the FBI going to take time, money and manpower away from combatting terrorism, the drug trade and other things to arrest people for modifying their own property? I really don't think so.
I have no problem with DRM because there will always be people like DVD Jon who will crack it. That way, everybody wins: the companies get money from people that legimately download songs, and the people who don't like DRM will be able to get rid of it. I've run several songs that I've downloaded from iTunes through JHymn and produced MP3 files without DRM. So, let companies feel secure and buy DRM music. Then, remove the DRM portion of it.
You're probably right. Political monopolies and corporate monopolies often go hand in hand.

...for blu-ray burners to come down in price. Imagine being able to back up 50gb of data on one disc.
Mods, please mod parent as +1 "Informative."
I think that this was the first probe to land on Mars in one piece.

"I prefer WordPerfect 5.1 on MS-DOS." But what if I'm not a masochist?
You could carry your Fedora and wear it too.

Windows did help me pursue a passion: downloading Linux .iso files.

They're dead, Jim.

What if the company that makes the BlackBerry, RIM, were to register a .jobs domain?

And what will they call their genealogy program?
Klan?
I can see that going over well at the NAACP.
Guy #1: I made this family tree with Klan!
Guy #2: You're giving the names of all your relatives to the Klan?

I still do, and it's damned convenient. No logged passwords (except for the VNC one) or browser caches on school machines.
Can't catch me, I use VNC!
This sounds exactly like what happens in the Sinclair Lewis book It Can't Happen Here Don't let it.
They were cockneys and tried to name him "Warren."
This is a perfect example of the wolf guarding the henhouse.
I guess there's always Australia.
