You're probably right. Political monopolies and corporate monopolies often go hand in hand.

I'm not in graphic design, but I've been using a Trackman with a scroll wheel for about 5 years and I love it. I have big hands, so it's much easier to use than a mouse. It also lets me keep my desk cluttered.

  8. Nearly Spherical on How Would You Define a Planet? · · Score: 1

I'd have to say that the best definition of a planet would be a spherical object that orbits a star. Would it have to be a perfect sphere? No, but it would have to look like one from a distance. For example, although Earth is not perfectly spherical (it has an equitorial bulge), it does look spherical when seen from the moon.

It sounds like the inclusion of PGP as evidence is similar to the way that accounts in the Caymans are used in fraud cases. Yeah, it's not illegal, but it is very likely that it helped the defendant do something illegal.

  20. Let me tell you why I am okay with it on When Would You Accept DRM? · · Score: 3, Insightful

I have no problem with DRM because there will always be people like DVD Jon who will crack it. That way, everybody wins: the companies get money from people that legimately download songs, and the people who don't like DRM will be able to get rid of it. I've run several songs that I've downloaded from iTunes through JHymn and produced MP3 files without DRM. So, let companies feel secure and buy DRM music. Then, remove the DRM portion of it.
