    Might want to read the fine print on Compusa's website then.....

    No guarantee the in store price is the same, even if it usually is.
    And how do you check stock quickly, hehe, kinda painful to check more than one item :( At least the overpriced burner worked good.

    And the reason WA state is so keen on this.

    We don't have an income tax, thus we don't even send out a form to put the "0" on ! How many people do you suppose will track down the right form to pay, hehe. Also means we are more dependent on the sales taxes :(

    I would go along with them if they can figure out how to implement some kind of simplified tax structure. WA is also one of those with a diferent tax code/rate for every damn city, county and bus district. Over 330 codes at last count :O And you should know whether an address is within city limits or in the transit district to figure the correct tax. Luckily from within WA you use the ship point so we only have 2.

    Makes a real mess from an IT standpoint. We do both ID and WA and diferent items are taxable in each state. WA depends on ship point while ID goes by destination. Some non-taxable items are taxable if going to a Veterinarian instead of patient or doctor. Computers don't seem to like the 'sometimes' and 'maybe' answers to TAXABLE (Y/N)?

    That was a waste to follow that link :/

    I did the same as another poster and grabbed new vinyl at random just too play a new one. Next time i'll be more careful, hehe. Full blown vintage Pioneer system with 4-channel 8-track player/recorders :) My buddy never realized we were listening to an 8-track mix tape ;)

    I usually play several different characters and they can have diferent play styles :)

    Not that i want them cataloging my chat,movements, and attacks in the first place. Oh well, when worse comes to worse make a game of seeing if i could change the type of ad by altering my playstyle.

    hehe, i want MORE blinky lights. But i want them to mean something like you say.

    I went so far as to actually buy the memory sticks with the activity lights so my computer (acrylic case) would finally match the sci-fi stuff :) Goes with the blacklight tied to sound card and light ribbon tied to external sounds and.....

    As for the article's rant, i only give him half credit. Need a light for keyboard then get a lit keyboard...but then wait until he finds out it stays ON after you shutdown the computer. Same thing for the matching clear lit mouse :/ of course I have a USB drive that stays lit up (and SPUN up!) after the computer is shut down unless you pull the plug (either comp or drive) that serves little use :(

    Many of his are certainly easy to fix/cover or eliminate if you wish and most of them have use.

    Of course i would like many more lights and controls to turn them off, but that costs much more for controls than lights :(

    Aye, seems a lot simpler than trying to get a computer to overide the driver or not at the right times and still do any good. If the driver next to me starts to enter my lane will the computer override my hitting the gas to get out of the way?

    My 87 bird had a real-time mpg readout. It would really help with mileage if you wanted it to.

    Of course just getting a few people to realize they don't have to approach the red-light half a block ahead at 40mph. I am ammazed how many people pass me approaching a light when i lift off the gas only to hit the brakes 50ft later. But i don't see forcing it.

    except that those large chunks of the show are now rarely longer than 7 minutes before another commercial break. I find i rarely have a problem missing a whole chunk nowdays and catching up when i get back (try not to miss last chunk is all) :)

    No cable, so no bigger to me atm ;)
    I am waiting for a comcast ad/sales pitch that tells how much i am really paying...5 years later all they send is promo info...the 1st x months is irrelevent if i will have it for years afterwards :) Telemarketer could NOT tell me regular rate after the 6 month promo she offered...i am supposed to buy without knowing the cost, right :(

    I don't think that means what you think it means ;)

    Yes it will go 115 years if it REPLACED every five years or so as it reaches its expected end of life....which is MUCH less than MTBF. DOH.

    We know some go dead quickly, how do you think they measured the ones that lasted over 115 years to get the average? Of course you can't replace a 5 year-old drive with a new version of same so you can't even test their definition... If they were really expected to last that long what are the odds of having a dead drive? Now how many of us have/had a dead HD...not even remotely close eh?

    Even with the 115 years i still wouldn't bet on it outlasting the house...If houses burned on average 100 years we would have 1000 house fires a years. I found 4 actual fire calls last week, only 1 burned down the house and 1 partial. Be generous and call it 2 for 100 per year, not too close. (totlaly wild guesses at 100k houses,etc)

    Well then dude, don't leave your mattress in the street where it can accidently get set on fire.

    If there are mattresses where a stray butt can ignite them you may have more of a litter problem than a couple of rude smokers....

    But yeah, don't see why it is too much to at least put them out 1st so at least they aren't burning. Even a homeless person should be able to manage that...even if some of our employees cant. Keep tossing them in the storm drain burning...it only has water during rain shesh.

    Does the system come with a gas detector to tell it not to turn on/off any lights etc during a suspected gas leak like the gas company says?

    Hmm it would either disable itself and not help you or possibly blow you up trying to help, oops.

    The big (unanswered ) question tho.

    Did it save enough to pay for the system and the 215 sensors (and installing those sensors) they installed in the part of that building to test it ?!?

    oh wait...all they did was set all this up and it could predict what people were doing MOST of the time. No clue as to whether that was enough to change hvac to save any money at all. Nor a clue as to how the 9% of the time it is wrong would affect said hvac changes!

    So the news is:
    With enough sensors it can ALMOST predict what people are doing.

    Maybe it is all a push from the mercury manufacters to use more since we banned the mercury thermometers as dangerous :(

    Or maybe the next push is for a mercury substitie like thermometers that only costs 6x as much. Then we can all pay like $20 per light bulb that we mastered at $.50 ages ago... :(

    We are not allowed to sell mercury thermometers any more nor mercury blood pressure gauges but they now want to REQUIRE us to use CFLs with mercury in em, WTF ?!?!

    Yes they only have a tad in them opposed to grams but the danger is in inhaling mercury vapor which certainly doesn't seem lessened in a bulb breaking.

    it depends on what games vs what other media?

    I suppose on the whole maybe.

    I don't find minesweeper particularly engaging but my race games and MMO on the other hand...

    Of course i find very little to compete with the games on TV as it is as sporadic as my games. The TV show is usually just as engrossing as a race in Flatout2....and they both only go for about 5-10 before being interruppted :(

    Many games are intense during play but not really memorable or anything to make a lasting connection. FPS for example, but you've played 100's games of it with diferent people and diferent outcomes etc. Whereas a movie or show has ONE plot and outcome for sometimes hours of entertainment tends to stick with you more. Or something like that, not articulating it real good ;(

    Either way, i can play a game for hours, read a book for hours, watch a whole movie or Tv show(DVDs) or two with out a break so kind of a toss up for me personally ;)

    100% juice, just not the ones shown on label..... i like the banana and strawberry made from pears and cucumbers or some damn thing :O

    but there are plenty of others.

    And NO, don't make our chocolate even cheaper please. My first thought was of Ghirardelli (wax) squares, do they even mention choclate? the version they sell in the Kwikimarts is horrid. ugh. Nothing like the blocks :(

    chocolate flavored treats is just fine for a description. If it is cheaper it will sell anyways...fruit drinks and such seem to have no problem selling.

    The new one is just the opposite of the old one, very interesting. I don't really see how this umm law applies more to one than the other tho.

    I do see what they are saying tho. A good sample is the button below for Plain Old Text. In that font it looks like the sans-serif T wants to get away altho in this font the seriffed T looks fine cause of a extra dot.

    And rightfully so, since it IS all on the OEM per their agreements.

    Hmm, i wonder how much of that is on purpose to distance themselves. I would imagine that the retail buyers of an OS would be more savvy than OEM buyers overall or you wouldn't be buying an OS by itself.
