And what's wrong with the iPhone data plan? $30 a month added to any contract gives you unlimited data. You could browse the web 24/7 with that. Jailbreak the thing. Then it's not so closed anymore.

Techies have been drooling over it, but techies are a tiny sliver of the overall market. Most people just want something simple that does a few nifty things and is easy to use.

Willfully bricking? Prove that. Go ahead. Try. You can't. Why? Because there's zero evidence that it was willful. Why in the hell should Apple test out every unsupported hack with firmware updates? Why should people who hack their hardware in warranty-voiding ways complain when bad things happen in updates? Yes, it does suck that Apple is locked to AT&T, but people knew that going in.

Yeah, looking at the reality of it makes me a Mac fanboy. First off, I'd have to be an Apple fanboy as the iPhone and the Mac are separate entities. Second, disprove anything I said, dipshit. Apple has the market momentum and the hype right now. Saying that developers are leaving in droves is flat-out bullshit because the iPhone has proven to be extremely lucrative for many of them. Saying that they're all going to Android is stupid because Android is brand new and hasn't found market penetration yet, not to mention you could just develop for both platforms. Saying that like it's an iPhone vs Android issue is stupid because Palm and Blackberry have a far greater market share than either, thus making them the bigger competition.

So explain to me how that makes me a "Mac" fanboy, you fucknut.

BWAAAAHAHAHHAHAHAHAAA! Yeah, the industry is rapidly moving to Android, a platform that has only just seen a released product that is middling at best and has yet to gain a foothold in the market. Yeah, the iPhone is the only competition for Android and vice versa, so Blackberry and Palm don't figure into it at all.

If someone comes back a month later, I'll probably try to help them out. If they come back six months later, then fuck 'em. If the PC burns down the house, it's a problem they can take up with the manufacturer. I don't see how I could be liable as it was working fine as far as I could tell and I never built the part myself. They can sue the PSU manufacturer for something like that.
