    Announcing that they are going to do this overtly is just plain stupid.

    Not really stupid. We can do it. They can do it. They know we can do it and we know they can do it. This is just a way of saying "Enough. No more screwing around with private entities for political purposes."

    This will also give them the ability to 'resell' a domain name within their system. You want people in the BRICKS area to read your www.wsj.com page? You'd better buy that domain on our system as well as your own.

    How could you tell if they ran their entire address space as one giant NAT? Even if you have an /etc/hosts IP address, how could you be sure that you were not routed back to an internal evil site at their country firewall?

    So I should calculate the loss in USD value from when BTC was $500 until now and write my bank account off against my income when I calculate my taxes next April. I'll see if the IRS will buy that.

    I imagine that each car would periodically upload statistics on miles driven and kWh charging. Also, Tesla charging stations most likely report in kWh delivered to each car. A smart person could do the math.

    In fact, Tesla probably monitors each cars' 'mileage' for diagnostic purposes. And this kind of use would undoubtedly raise maintenance alarms.

    LibreOffice is not compatible enough with word to exchange documents with Word users.

    Hmm. I open docx files in LibreOffice all the time. No problems. Perhaps Word has a problem opening other than its own native formats. That's a Word problem.
