The interesting thing about this deal is that eBay actually bought Skype from the founders for 3.1 billion US dollars.
They are now selling for 2 billion which makes you think about the huge loss and the extremely bad deal they made in buying in the first place.
When eBay bought Skype it was seen by many as the worst IT business deal, ever!
The article doesn't mention a lot of facts and it also fails to mention that speeds upto 100 Mbit/s is the goal for LTE.
So this will be the next step in broadband services over wireless mobile networks.
It's not likely that Nokia will drop it's Symbian OS for a Linux version. The Symbian OS is designed for mobile terminals and specially for mobile telephnoy.
On the other hand Linux would be an interesting choice for PDA's and other such devices. The problem is though that now, the mobile phone and the PDA's are merging together. This is where the battle stands, with the new genereation of phones with both PDA and mobile phone capabilities.
I work at Ericsson in Sweden and we use Windows 2000 on all office machines. There is ofcourse Unix, Linux and XP installations at some development centers, but for everyday work and mail Windows 2000 is used.
XP does not give any increase in productivity and therefore there is no need to upgrade. Also at the rate Microsoft releases new operating systems the workload on the integration teams increase. Rolling out a new operating system requires a lot of testing on all the hardware found in the corporation. Because of this, it really has to be important to actually roll out a new version of Windows.
this phone has a 2 Mpix camera as well...
and ofcourse the design i very different. we need choices, how boring wouldn't it be if everyone had the same phone.
I made my own comparison with Internet Explorer 6.0 och Firefox 1.0 for Windows.
I used tcpdump to measure the average time it took for Firefox compared to IE to load a couple of pages with heavy graphic and banners.
The results all pointed to Firefox's advantage. Meaning the time it took to load the full webpage. For Firefox the average time was 1-2 seconds and for Internet Explorer the average time was 3-8 seconds for the same webpages at approximatley the same time.
These results were achived on a PC with 512 MB RAM running Windows XP SP2 and with a AMD Athlon 1700+ Interestingly the results are very different from that of the comparison in the article.
Since Nintendo has neglected the PAL market by not releasing close to the amount of titles for the gamecube, this doesn't really come as a big surprise.
What would surprise me though, is if Nintendo just would let this pass without action.
Well answerd, it's the definatley the easiest solution I've read so far.
Shouldn't be to hard to get working and it solves the problem. Provided that the Linksys WMLS11B is already bought.
This could be very dangerous needless to say. I suspect that we have the next Chernobyl on our hands. https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/Chernobyl_disaster
The Swedish government has asked all citizens to leave Japan as soon as possible.

One electron volt is equal to 1.60217653(14) x 10^19 joules.
And they are talking about 7 and 14 Trillion eV which is a bunch of joules! Pretty nice ;)

IBM just wants to make it's profit even bigger. By employing Indian's and sacking European's, they are doing just that.
Sad but true.

You need to get your facts straight.
The Taj Mahal is very Indian. By the way, did you look up Islamic in your atlas? You might have trouble finding that country there.
Remember there isn't any world law, therefore only the country you reside in makes the rules for you. No one else.
No, I didn't hear you.
If only Branson would take a virgin into space... what bliss.
What would surprise me though, is if Nintendo just would let this pass without action.
If an offer sounds too good to be true, it usually is.
