Sorry, brain methane (compONENT was intended). I'd have to recheck, but the TV (Panasonic 34") has a billion component connections and a few SVid, but not recalling SVGA.
From the pictures it looks like all connections are inputs, with no TVOut.
It would be nice if this had composite out to TV(A/V), not just the 'Play on PC'. Combine w/PC-based controller (MythTV), and I would not need to add HDDVR and HDTuner to get HD picture.
That's the flawed 'thinking' in the US (and other Dem. countries).
"My vote does not matter so I will not vote". Even if the vote is a lock for any candidate, VOTE!!! If you like neither, write in a candidate. If your state does not allow write-ins KILL THEM ALL (kidding - fight to change that). My opinion has always been no vote, no voice.
I agree the current EC system is unfair. Instead of all/nothing go on % and total ECs w/decimal places (out to 3 should do). OR (my fave), allow 'None of the Above' on EVERY office choice (or at least Pres). If NOTA wins, ALL offerings for that post on the ballot get thrown off, the parties have 30 days to decide a new candidate (or indies get xxxx sigs) and re-elections held 30 days after that.
Optical-networking company Infinera is taking another approach... has developed a photonic integrated circuit, a hybrid of optical and electronic technologies... the technology combines discrete functions into a single chip, and can transmit data at speeds of up to 100 Gbps.
Although the 100Gb/s is the max, it would be interesting what the sustained rate would be. This technology seems to have a better light/energy conversion than the 'bucky ball' solution, since it lists 40Gb/s as the transmission rate.
Perhaps the Inifera solution is limited in distance.
IBM goes on to argue that old agreements with AT&T and expert witnesses make it clear that IBM was allowed to do what it liked with "derivative works." It would have been bad business for IBM to agree to broad terms banning it from controlling "derivative works," it says.
If the AT&T contracts show the approval of derivative works, any AIX code IBM developed and then added to Linux would definitely be out of scope.
For the newer countries entering the competitions, they get better with better facilities and coaching. The US gymnastics got better with the addition of Bella K. The Chinese basketball gets US coaching. International Basketball players get NBA experience and are learning how to trounce the US 'Dream?' team.
Evolution can only be used in this context to explain the improvement of training principles.
Biological evolution would just predict athletes would just get more 'athletier'.
Although these 'combos' are good for people that have none of the offered tech but want them all, I believe separates are the way to go. Then I do not end up with 3 DVD players (1 standalone, 1 w/PS2, 1 w/XBox). A better idea is to have all these 'parts' interconnect in a more seamless way - have additional devices plug in to a master controller, which would allow infinite connections (instead of the current setups where the 3rd game system is connected on the 'tape' monitor.
This is assuming manufacture for all countries formats -
Since there are no universal broadcasting formats, how is the internal TV tuner would need to be unique to country. If that country has no TV broadcasts yet would this PC then drive the creation of said format?
Same question for the power conversion - each country's format would need mfg'd (or sent w/inverter increasing the code). For the startup countries - "here ya go!!".

And if you still think loafing is the way to go, please do not procreate.
Which studies do you cite for the reactor replacement schedule? AFA the reaction itself, Boron (hydrogen/boron) fusions are said to create NO radioactive waste, and helium is the only byproduct.
From this , I got the following excerpt:Over their lifetimes, fusion reactors would generate, by component replacement and decommissioning, activated material similar in volume to that of fission reactors, but qualitatively different in that the long-term radiotoxicity is considerably lower [no radioactive spent fuel]. The use of advanced low activation materials and recycling could further ease the management of radioactive waste. Overall, the study indicates that fusion waste would not constitute a burden for future generations....
It seems these days there is a battle of EU vs US (and others). One side wants France. One Japan. Science waits.
I say, pick a desolate area in Asiatic Russia. Land will be cheap (if not already polluted), and the scientists will have less outside distractions. And the EU faction can claim victory even though it will be geographically closer to the Japan land area.
The goal is to get clean, enconomically viable fusion WORKING. Not to see who has the facility.
I do not agree w/the background check, but I would just not use the lockers. If they added 'just to visit' I would not visit the SoL.
The 'slippery-slope' of the checks is that they will expand and all state enforcements will report to a central database.
Of course, you get the 'I am not a criminal so I therefore have no problem w/these intrusions' from some people. Good for you. Maybe you can the first to sign up for the goverment's future Constant Resident Awareness Protection (CRAP) program, which will give you faster access to public buildings and services as long as you agree to have a GPS-monitor ID embedded in your skin.
I am not a terrorist or felon, but I object to the increasing government intrusion for my 'safety'. I am in the group loathe to sacrifice liberty for security.

The answer is: No - and Yes
MS is like the 80s IBM - big kid on the block.
IBM gave up on DOS and had a pissing contest w/OS2 (and lost). But did not go away.
MS will eventually lose market share but will not go away
Testimonial: I have purchased a Walmart Microtel/JDS system (the cheapo). Only real problem was the winmodem which was not sensed from the factory or repeated re-installs. The RJ45 connection works fine.
One of the points of the study was the relationship of work to the disorders of depression and Obsessive/Compulsive Disorder (OCD). Depression resulted in severe procrastination ("I Don't want to do anything"), whereas OCD was the extreme workaholic.
This may lead to treatment of depression using the D2 inhibitor and OCD using the NMDA inhibitor.
Maybe one day companies might even be willing to pay for part of your handtop, knowing that they would have to invest less in upgrading?
Most companies want their information/apps locked into their computers - some even to the point of assigning a company laptop to perform off-site work.
For small/medium companies with less sensitive data protection needs, it could help some of their bottom line. But employee expenses will be their major reduction focus.
Why is it that job categories must imitate the demographics of a country? If 85% of all nurses are women, should men be cajoled until it is back to 50%? If 70% of software dev workers are men, that should not matter either.
Some of the comments on why it matters in Tech seem to center around design.
Unless something is decidedly marketed to one gender or the other (epilady/viagra), the companies would normally have a mixed design team - but that is not tech.
So the 30% female techs can be funneled into the design area, which is more lucrative anyway (than pure coding).
IMO is Ch5:
Chapter Five explains how to eliminate all traces of Web activity from your computer and defeat forensic recovery of stored data; how to surf the Web anonymously using an encrypted connection and defeat remote monitoring; how to set up and use SSH (SecureShell) to conceal both your identity, and the data content of your Internet sessions from all third parties, including your ISP. The many hiding places of sensitive or incriminating data are revealed for both Windows and Linux users.
This will help the casual web users who get bashed by the spyware-grabbers. Like my parents.

Intentions aside, people like these need to be removed from society, for they are no better than the ill they wish to remove.
If you want to change a wrong, campaign (marketing) for the change, and VOTE!! Don't commit crimes and then say it was all in the name of justice.
This is like the 'peace' protestors that assault the police or destroy other's property, or the abortion activist murdering a doctor or pro-choicer.
