  1. Re:Wipe it on HP Issues Fix For Keylogger Found On Several Laptop Models (zdnet.com) · · Score: 1

Why the fuck would Microsoft be distributing HP's software?

Because Joe Sixpack finds himself having to reinstall Windows fairly often to fix issues, and many computers today don't come with proper install discs, or generic ones that don't automate the installation of drivers for the hardware specific to the model of computer. So you end up with "drivers and utilities" CDs that don't make it clear which of their many drivers you need, or you have to go to the manufacturer's site to get the drivers you need -- a process beyond the technical abilities of a large portion of HP's customer base, if my conversations with them are any indication.

  8. Agreed. The chat plugins could be improved, though i don't know how much can be done, since all systems use some idiotic, secret sauce home made protocol

Funny enough, Chat is one of the things I think should be removed. It seems like an unnecessary add-in to begin with. Chat is something you normally would have up visible at all times, and the Thunderbird interface is a window I would more likely have covered by other things when not using. A separate app for chat makes more sense. And with all the chat services taking their protocols private there is little use for a third-party client.

To use a car analogy. it's like me saying I want to buy a car that's easy to park and gets really high mileage for my commute, then somehow it's "surprising" that I bought Honda Fit instead of a Ford Mustang.

I think this is more a case of bad editing in the submission. Because T-Mobile's move is surprising considering it "goes against the conventional thinking about 5G", which is the following sentence in the summary. Looks like someone meant to stick the adjective surprising there where the use of "move" as a noun appears a second time.

Issue: I got my taxes done, but I owe $500 and wont have money before the payment deadline.
Response: It's the government's fault for charging too much in taxes, not mine for not having any saving for emergencies, or dong my taxes earlier so I could have planned how to handle this expense, or having my withholding set up better to begin with to avoid having a bill to pay, etc.

Issue: I can't file my FAFSA for my college by the deadline because the site is swamped by other people trying to do the same thing as me.
