...everything that has been created has or will be hacked one way or another. It is no longer a question of if, it is a question of when. This includes all encryption, it may be hard, but it has or will be done, history shows us this.
Like how the Enigma Machine was decrypted?
If the Allies hadn't had the luck to find a Enigma Machine and then the code book I don't believe that it would have been cracked during the war or perhaps after.
If only most of us had the good sense, morality, and feeling of community that have the Amish.
On a funny note there is a store outlet for Amish goods here in Albuquerque called The Amish Connection. I like to point out to people that their sign does indeed light up.
Ich bin zu Ihnen aller tot.Ich bin zu Ihnen aller tot.
I abandoned Apple when they moved to OS X (half of which you can get for free). Apple's decision to move to Intel is the worst idea I have heard in a long time.
WinXP has built-in archiving. I don't run WinXP at home but I get to at work and my friend's place. I have no interest in learning windows any more than I have to but...
The folders that are zip files have a litle zipper icon on them and if you right-click on them there is a choice to 'extract' and right-clicking on an unarchived file shows a 'add to archive' choice.
Although it is my experience that most people don't want to learn the OS they run even moderately well.
Disclaimer: Yes, I am still learning Linux, slowly. But I am learning.
I like to play Driver and Driver2 on the playstation. When I play a lot of it I start expecting real cops to just start chasing me when I drive my real car. wigii!
Just Today I picked up an old reel to reel. It can play reels up to seven inches and also 8-tracks! Seriously, I have enough old analog audio devices that would be ruined if anything were done to them to prevent the device recording but I can guarantee that my phonograph will not record.
I use a few lyrics sites and also a couple tab site like olga.
It's not just the bombs. It's the Generals and all the stuff that goes along. Tanks, boats, airplanes, subs. These things also Cost A Lot Of Money(tm).
If the U.S. were to drastically reduce its Defense spending it could stop debating how to fix Social Security, it would then be fixed. All the social programs that receive federal monies could possibly benefit.
In other words, expect to see a marked rise in quality if living.
Better yet, of all the money normally spent on Defense use the amount that would have gone to Defese before the reduction to clean up superfund and other sites till they're clean(er).
Back when I was a wee lad we would lay out the Lincoln Logs to represent binary. Then one of us would read the binary and the rest of us would draw the computations on paper (that we made ourselve from old Bazooka Joe wrappers) in real time.
I have the same. As an added mesure I loaded firefox (in case I need it) and the internet security settings are at maximum so MSIE can't go anywhere.
Sometimes MSIE will get activated to go to some site but the dialog that tells me a illegal site is being accessed lets me kill IE before it starts opening 50 windows.
So if you run Windows but use another browser just put the internet security settings to their highest, turn on your firewall, and never, never, never, use MSIE or any SW that will not register w/o IE.
I used to run a Mac and all the CDs I burnt were good if the burn completed. Now I run Linux on x86 arch. and all the CDs I burn are good if the burn completes.
My friend runs WinXP and if he burns a CD it is unlikely to work in another WinTel box much less my computer.
Cheap media, crappy CD software, defective hardware. I do agree that good media is getting harder to find.
My oldest burnt CD is 10 years old. Burnt that sucker at 4x! The best CDRW drive I have is a cheap memorex branded device.
working on Windows drives me batty enough. The "Are You Sure You're Sure" buttons. The fact that M$ can't/could't bother to look beyond their noses.
I would like to point out the correctness of the addage: No news is good news. In Linux you type a command, options, file and if your syntax is correct you get no news. This is good. If your syntax is wrong then you get news.
ATTENTION LINUX DESKTOPS (GNOME, KDE, everyone else)!!! Don't be like M$ with the "Are You sure You're Sure" dialogs and buttons. Having a desktop that seems familiar is an ease to migrating from Windows but to implement the same idiot warnings will just give us another Windows.
I think it would be funny if after hours of travel in another space/time the ship returned to this space/time it was right where it started.

"Worst Decision Ever!"

"...Britney Spears albums..."
And those aren't bombs?
I like to tar then bzip.
Then I unpack thus: tar -jxvf foo.bz2
It seems that we need to get the definitions of theory side by side.
Now let's be a little more accurate.
There is scientific theory and then there is just plain regular theory.
Why this is almost never illuminated so full understanding is attained I'll never know.
People come to the world "unprogrammed" and take
There is mounting eveidence that newborns do not have a tabla rasa
New Mexico has a history of losing companies that started there.
Yes, but at least Albuquerque has the Isotopes.
We also tend to loose musical talent.

Is there any chance I can get that on a T-shirt?
Yes.
try Shovelove.

I gotta bag of data fresh in! Best in town sucker!
Maybe you like a jolt 0'binary? Yo, I got that 1 01!
I plunked my 1 gig model istick and the jaws of two engineers dropped.
But then they didn't work on memory components at their workplace.

Thanks for worrying over that one.
I'll cover worrying what ls can do in nefarious hands.
As for my cat, he is a security risk. I made the passcode something he can say and he keeps giving it away!

I have a tv that doesn't have a f type connector with two prong rabbit...ears. And I am happy with them. They are nothing fancy just $3 anntenae.
Besides I bet these new tvs aren't compatable with my Atari 2600.
