Cedega/WineX (based off Wine) is more or less what you just described. It's not exactly free ($5 a month) but it plays most high-profile games with decent sucess. There's also a free CVS version, but from what I've heard it's not as up to date or complete. However, if you're looking to play a game that has never been that popular, good luck. It may work, but chances are some API feature isn't implemented yet.
Curiously enough, an edition of the NYT that fell through a time warp from 1000 years in the future defined 'those people' as a bunch of mindless jerks who were the first up against the wall when the revolution came.
The only problem with the remakes is loading times (especially things like battles). It's not awful, but you're comparing the constant loading times of a PSone game versus a Super Nintendo cartridge. Just something for consideration. I'm still waiting for some remakes on the GBA, myself.
Or, you can spend a full $5-10 more to get the actual 2510. I think NEC advised against doingt this, and while this was probably just for sales of the 2510 on their part, I don't see why it's worth flashing. It might work fine, but I'm not going to flash a drive that may or may not burn dual-layer properly just to save $10.
This doesn't bode well for diversity. As they say, don't carry all your eggs in one basket. If a freak meteor or geek riot hits the Viacom HQ once they've finally bought EA, we'll be nearly out of games. Well, there's always Nethack. Or Pong. Or some bad Mario rip-off.
So they're trying to say the Deus Ex wasn't an FPS? It may not have been a pure FPS, but it in no way sacraficed anything in including RPG elements. Are they trying to say that it's not an FPS because it simply included other elements? I fail to see how it could be considered to not "be an action game at heard"
This is equivilent to excluding Final Fantasy X because it had too many cinematics. It may have contained been a bit bloated, but it was still an RPG. I'm quite dissapointed with that decision.
This is definitly going to skew the results towards the biggest companies (Not as if they intened otherwise, just stating this). If they wanted a search engine that was at least useful compared to Google, this was not the way to go. I don't just want to see the highest bidders in the results.
Yes, it was definitly offline. Were they possibly updating something? All links simply displayed the main page. That is if you got past the main index, which indeed got you a 503 error.

When the results start showing trolls such as "die slashdotters"

Thanks. Now we have a theory about a theory about a theory, assuming we even exist in the first place.
The one problem with bringing that into a discussion involving a Windows clone is that UNIX works to an extent.
I would pretend there were enough other people out there with high speeds to make this even remotely useful.
Before even more people point out the flaws in their buisness plan, at least properly read the Slashdot post. It says for-fee, not for-free.
Surfing on lava as one of the main hilights... so this is just another special-effects filled movie lacking an almost all other aspects?

I was really suprised to find that 100.01% of those surveyed had RDTSC. A bit more than I was expecting. Total Surveyed: 317,220 RDTSC: 317,248

I haven't benn following this completely, but which if any of the major distros are going to go ahead and use 4.4?
They now can reproduce? Argh, not more of the pesky things! I suppose that in a few years they'll be ranking in numbers with tribbles.
