"Such hardware wouldn't copy or play "unauthorized" watermarks."
So it's just DRM being called something different.
What's keeping someone from purchasing (or stealing an advance copy of) the album(s) and ripping them on their own and uploading? The files would have a legit watermark and the player wouldn't know you didn't buy it.
Until you have to defend yourself against an aggressive government. I'm a nutjob when it comes to this, but I believe that you should be able to own any weapon, including nuclear/chemical/biological weapons.
The people you'll have to defend yourself against will have them (Your government) so why not give them a reason to NOT use them by having your own?
This is probably what keeps me from getting people to listen to FreeTalkLive...
Well, all you have to do is buy the CD from a store with cash or simply steal a copy before the official release (like most big album releases online). If your name's not connected to the sale in any way, watermarking doesn't do much good.
The question "Are there still watermarks in the file" isn't an important one, since they're not doing the job of DRM. DRM keeps you from playing the track, watermarking keeps you from.. doing nothing? Unless you have to use a special watermark-reading player to play the file, and if that's the case how is this different from DRM?
In windows, thanks to people who love making things easy for the end user and who also are always looking to the future.. a lot of install programs for games and apps are 16bit.
Another fun thing is a lot of games broke in Vista because the game had the "MY DOCUMENTS" folder location hard coded.
But the problem is that our tractor trailer is designed to do neither cargo nor crew well. If we had a vehicle to transport crew safely and a remotely piloted vehicle to transport only cargo it would be safer for the people and cheaper for the cargo.
I believe it because I live less than 3 hours from Boston and New York City. I can get anything I want ordered and delivered to me the next day. I can eat any kind of food I like, while watching violent movies and playing violent video games. Some other countries might approach our level of freedoms, but they still lock down some things.
So, if it's not the "GREATEST" it's still "PRETTY DAMN GOOD"
"If weapons stop crime, how come the USA, one of the most tooled up countries in the world, has so much crime and so many people die from gun injuries?"
Because of the gun control laws in place, funnily enough. If in this country you could easily and legally carry around a concealed firearm, criminals would be less inclined to attack you because it's legal and easy for you to have a gun to defend yourself. With the gun laws as they are, the odds are in favor of the law breaking criminal who HAS a concealed weapon who bets you aren't armed.
And if you let me walk to the store with my concealed weapon, the fact that I have one and you don't doesn't matter because the CHANCE of you having one is the deterrent.
Why would you vote for Obama? If you're a registered republican and a real conservative why would you vote for higher taxes, bigger government, and moar spending?
"it's original knowledgeable geek crowd."
If you knew anything about computers, you'd not be shopping at Alienware. You'd be building your own or at least going to Falcon-NW or VooDooPC.
also, "it's" is a contraction meaning "it is."
Thank you for thinking that the $75k the Government stole from you was something you were doing and not something that was being done to you.
Learn things, dummy.

Back to the Future. I rest my case.

So which guy from the dev team is going to make us his bitch this time?
Ah, another moron who tries to live Fight Club.
Actually, pissed off corporate customers ARE looking at the competition. A lot of places are starting to seriously look at Macs for company-wide use.
You and I define "easy" differently.
They both wear the same outfit.
And where's your UID? Mine's high as hell, but at least I've got the guts to post with it.
Did you mean: geniuses?
If they attack things you like, vote them out or run to replace them.

Yeah, I'm sure IBM pre-installs Vista on all new Super Computers.
Are you DENSE?
Yeah, because word of mouth is what IBM needs. I mean, who's heard of THEM?
