I thought World War I was caused by a system of entangling alliances which shifted the decision making process for the entire continent of Europe to whichever country wanted to start a war and bring everyone else with them?
IIRC, WWII had a lot to do with the German people being simply fed up with being kept on the brink of crisis by the rest of Europe and their need to pay back war debts to the US to the point of supporting anyone that promised to actually do something radical to change things.
Faster processors are still increasing performance in a lot of cases, but memory bandwidth and bus speed would certainly help in some of the other cases.
They probably want to find some SVR4 code in AIX surrounded by comments screaming "WE LIFTED THIS FOR LINUX. IF YOU CHANGE IT, PLEASE PATCH LINUX TOO"...
The attempted gang rape of Israel could've probably claimed the title of "World War" if it had gone on longer, became a bit more destructive and drew anyone else in. However, 5 Arab nations found they couldn't successfully take on 1 fledgling Jewish nation.
Isn't al Zaqawai Jordanian? If so aren't your point about invading his country and the grandfather post's point about Iraq joining with al Qaeda kinda wrong?
We have an 8 year old study dueling with a 10 year old and 14 year old study? I'll believe it when NEW studies are done on the subject. Until then, I'm going to assume the outrageous insurance premiums that are driving doctors out of my state are due to lawsuits just like similar suits drove out all the jobs.
The judicial system needs reformed to alleviate the effect of all frivolous suits.
Doom's legacy was gore and blowing away waves of monsters. They could've done that with the Quake3 engine. They tried to make a horror game and IMO didn't do so good with that. It was still a great game, but it wasn't quite the horror game they suggested it was going to be.:\
I believe Emperor Torvald's apprentice Darth Cox would take over. Darth Cox would also take on an apprentice of his own to instruct in the ways of the Open side of the Source.
Well, since it's a SERVER, it is likely running as a service with all the rights of the admin who installed it...which means it can do whatever it wants.
I think that EULA provision was only to prevent anyone from distributing an SDK with "viral software". They were well within their rights to prevent that. It supposedly didn't stop anyone from writing GPLed software with it.
I believe what they were afraid of was people mistakenly believing the SDK was under the license of the software it was being redistributed with. I think they backed down after taking a LOT of heat over it.
You forgot the report that they told the crowd beforehand that they CHOSE civil disobedience to get their point across. They weren't even trying to deliver papers. They were just trying to get arrested for publicity.
The constitution doesn't even mention criminal records. We could have a man that can't even vote in some states due to their ex-convict status on the ballot.
Genetically Engineered?

Nationalism as far as product purchase, yes. As far as other categories, not so much.
There might not be a duct tape mod, but I hear they're going to make the cyberdemon shoot first.
Quite a few of the holes were also present in Mozilla 1.x which went 1.0 a long time ago and is now going on 1.8...

Sorry, please play the correlation is not causation game again.

All kinds of war? The war against Hitler was wrong? The war against Japan? Please...

Isn't Firefox using the mature Mozilla rendering engine?

I think it has more to do with the fact that we flex our oversized military and economic muscles whenever we please.

They trespassed onto private property. Being a presidential candidate doesn't make anyone immune from the law.

Letters maybe? If I want my Congressional rep's address, am I going to kill them?
