Has anyone seen these screens in person? I'm wondering what the Image quality is like on these and if the 3d effect is really convincing. The pictures on the web site look nice, but I was wondering if anyone has seen one of these in person?

If you think heat is a problem now, just wait until IBM, Intel and AMD dual core chips become mainstream. Then, even low end machines will need complicated cooling solutions. I doubt you will see a stock heatsink without at least a few heatpipes with the next generation of chips.

... on the old dual 2.5 G5. Thats a good thing I think. As impressive as the system was, there's something (irrational) in my mind that just gets nervous about things like that. I'm worried that the... juice... will leak out onto the mobo.
I don't understand why people are so paranoid about water-cooling.As long as the hoses are clamped well and the user doesnt do anything stupid like waving sharp objects near the tubing, there should not be any problems. Apple uses a special mixture that is non corrosive and kills algae so there's no need to worry about that. Besides a good quality pump can last just as long as a fan 90 there are no reliability issues either. People need to stop being so paranoid about water cooling.
You would only be burned if it was a Prescott with no fan spinning. We're talking about the Pentium M here. It's only a couple dozen watts. You'd have to stick your face against the die to get burned.
I think Apple has the right idea here. They define a standard as with the GUI and the way things should work. and developers comply. As a result an extremely usable and efficient work environment is created. Once something new comes along, dump the old. Windows is so bloated as a result of trying to make everything backwards compatible, and Linux is a standards nightmare. Even getting something as simple as a video card working is a lot more effort than it should be. Just my 1.5 cents.
Even Apple's Safari is already plunging ahead with preliminary CSS3 support.
Speaking of Safari, there's something wrong in the world when there is an IE for OS X but no Safari for Windows. Apple has ported Quicktime and iTunes, why not safari. They could probably hook a decent percentage of internet users on it's looks alone, not to mention that it has basically all the advantages of Firefox except for being open source (which I guess matters to many here). But still, it's fast, easy to use and looks nice, isnt that what most users want?
These machines are designed for people who already have top of the line everything and want to push it as fast as they can go. There are some people who want the fastest system possible no matter what the cost, and this is an easy way (given enough money) to get it.
I totally agree, IMO the whole point of a SFF system is to have an attractive, small and quiet desktop. This shuttle is not any of those. I remeber back when Shuttles used to be the cute shoebox sized computers that people loved and adored. I love my shiny, solid black SB62G2. It doesn't have any unneccesary plastic glued to the front bezel. The simple clean lines of it are very attractive IMO. It's kind of sad to see shuttle heading in this direction.
Ive got the shuttle SB62G2 and the stock power supply sounded like a jet. But I invested in a newer aftermarket powersupply, the Shuttle PC40. I can't say it's silent, but it's very quiet. I also swapped the somewhat loud Sunon CPU fan for a low RPM Panaflo fan. I used a passive Zalman heatsink for the northbridge, and hacked up an aerocool VM101 GPU heatsink to fit inside the shuttle and passively cooled my Radeon 9800. The system is near silent, small, sexy and can play pretty much anything I throw at it at nice resolutions and a good framerate. The major downside to getting a shuttle is price, as the shuttle system plus upgrades can be very expensive. But my desk and ears thank me for it, so I'm happy with it.
Besides the obvious addition of extra limbs a la Doc Oc from Spiderman, imagine what it would be like if everyday people had loads of mechanical limbs.
As if drivers on cell phones werent bad enough. Now people can drive, talk on the phone, type something on their laptop, eat, and read the newspaper at the same time.
I wonder, given the way a tablet PC is used, do you really use the contextual menu that often?
Well without a keyboard available, there is no control+C and control+V to copy and paste, and it is quicker to go through the context menu, than to go Edit->Copy and then Edit->Paste
Well a windows tablet PC is very much a touchscreeen with a stylus. Besides typing stuff (duh) I really enjoy using the stylus to navigate. Holding down the stylus brings up the right click menu. It's fairly intuitive, and does not slow down work at all.
Why not just use VNC, it's all done in software so there's no need to hook anything up, and you can connect to the machine from any computer on the network. My personal favorite flavor of VNC is ultravnc.

What about Goohoo!
So it's basically Star Trek meets the OC?
Is it just me or is Windows looking more and more like an Apple product with each release?
You would go to the can in your office chair? Gross!
But a 3D Padme might be worth it!

Finally I can play CS:Source and have too much caffiene at the same time.
It sounds like the name to another Matrix sequel, except it's Star Wars.
You forgot the USS In Korea only old people go on Cruises

When are people going to understand that "Wireless security" is an oxymoron.
