Ohh, that kind of AND... yeah, there was plenty of mortal embarrasment to go around. I'll make a note to be more explicit about things in future posts instead of leaving conclusions to be inferred by the reader.
I assure you, somebody WILL read it. Once I set up a livejournal that I never told ANYONE about, but made the mistake of using the same screenname as for instant messenger. Compounding this folly was the post in which I confessed to a middle school crush on a girl I hadn't seen since graduating high school. Well, guess who calls me up a few weeks later after getting the idea to plug her friends' screen names into livejournal? Yeah.
And besides, natural disasters always pale in comparision to what we manage to do to each other once things get well-organized. Just in the last 100 years:
The Turkish massacre of 1.5 million armenians in 1915
The Nazi Holocaust of 6 million jews
5 million Ukranians who starved in the Soviet tax famine of 1932
14 million Russian peasants killed in stalin's 1930-1937 purges
I'll point fingers and bitch... CNN and MSNBC went right ahead with their usual People Magazine weekend bullshit all day sunday... Fox was the only one that had any kind of live coverage. I guess that's why they're the number one network now despite their clear bias: At least they show up on the weekends.
Hehehe... check out the "Got a coupon?" link.... it'll take whatever string you input and ask for your credit card number and email address. Perhaps a flood of fake numbers is called for?
Beautiful analysis you've done there, just to give you another datapoint, the in-store demo of Rogue Leader and pipe dreams of Perfect Dark 2 were all it took to have me sold on the gamecube. I picked up a copy of melee for my little brother almost as an afterthought. Boy did I have things backward, here it is 3 years later with Rogue Leader collecting dust on the shelf, Rare being a subsidiary of Microsoft, and weekly smash brothers tournaments with my friends. The game is immortal. It's going to go down with the likes of Tetris - Dr. Mario and Perfect Dark for replayable multiplayer spazzery.
What's really shameful is that here in the US, Fox News Channel is the only outlet that's covering this, and generally the only one that covers any story that takes place on the weekend. CNN and MSNBC are still running their people magazine tripe.
No no no, he's saying that the 50 spyware was already there and it took 5 minutes to run the scan after he opened IE and let it sit and open pop-ups of it's own accord to show the dad that the computer really was visiting all those porn sites "on it's own".
Speaking of tarnishing his brand, Sweet Merciful Christ, have you read Teeth of the Tiger yet?

Evar
Honestly, it is vastly worse than even the crap that's got the " 's " after clancy's name. And it's only half the book... I really want to go into details but won't spoil the horror for you. We'll just say that major characters died in between books and the fact only gets passing mention in one scene of dialogue.
Heh... When I first went of to university last year with my shiny new DIY computer, one of the first thoughts that came into my mind was "gee, here I am with a 2 Ghz processor, half-gig of ram and 24 Mbit connection to the internet.... let's see what Windows 3.11 can do with it". Suprisingly, there's software out there for all the tasks I normallu use my desktop for... web browsing, IM, watching DIVX encoded movies... should've had an older video card with a fully compatible driver though. Pr0n just isn't the same in 16-color VGA.
But all the choices are shit.

You're reading this on slashdot and expect there to be an AND??

4 million Chinese during Japan's occupation
35 million chinese during the Mao regime.
Not to mention that I probably missed a few.

It didn't up the physics ante for anyone. Deus Ex: Invisible War and Max Payne 2 both used Havok.
I think he meant to nitpick your spelling ;-)
Doom 3: 3D first person shooter
GTA: 2 dimensional top down driving game
GTA 3 : 3D third-person perspective running/driving game
In terms of control style, GTA has more in common with pac-man than it's successor. Doom hasn't changed nearly as much, hence the "way retro" moniker.

You mean Havok? Deus Ex 2 had the exact same engine, so I'd even be dubious of the "hair better" claims.
Because it might undermine their precious GPL too. You'd have to get the more laid back BSD guys to go for it.
but don't hate HP's managers because they're bad, or for any other reason, or you're a sexist bastard.

You play a gnome in WoW, don't you?
Real time x-rays?? I'd rather just eat the bullet, it's quicker.
Mark of the beast! Mark of the beast!! And you wonder why christians are taking over the country....

How appropriate that this follows up the previous story; an ask slashdot pondering what aspects of science would interest high school students.
