I got all jazzed when I saw "Nerdshack.com" in that other guy's sig, thinking it was a nerd dating site.
You're right. There really are a lot of dumb hot chicks out there. And yes, I have hit that in the past, but once you know you CAN get some if you want it, just getting some loses its shininess quite a bit.
Now I just need to find a real nerd dating site and I'll be set.
... the assholes went out of their way to buy and then kill Earth and Beyond.
I'm STILL bitter about that. There are simply no good space-oriented MMORPGs out, period, since the sunset of EnB. SWG assuredly does not count, and EvE is boring as hell.
If you're feeling generous, send me one at starkruzr@starCANNEDMEATkruzr.com, minus the spam. Thank you! And if you need anything (though I don't know what I can give you), just ask.
I think it was because the Bohemian Grove page was hosted on rotten.com, so someone assumed without clicking that it was a link to Tubgirl or something.
There are *MANY* reasons to go to college other than gaining an education in a chosen field. I made friends in college that I will know for the rest of my life, and grew incalculably as a person.
And no, you can't get the same experience working at a company somewhere.
... but the article doesn't mention anything about it. Does anyone know if there have been serious, repeatable scientific conclusions drawn about it (i.e., effects upon contact, genesis, etc.)? Google is somewhat less than helpful.
I mean, sure, there are effects you can get with it that are hard to duplicate with digital (although Photoshop can do just about *anything*), but when it comes right down to it, having to wait to take your film to be processed is a gigantic annoyance when you consider that digital gives you your photograph instantly.
Unless, of course, you happen to work *IN* a photo lab (or a photo company).
Specifically, you're illustrating what is perhaps *the* major difference between Western and Eastern cultures. Western culture focuses much more on the individual and his/her desires/betterment, whereas Eastern culture is far more collectivist and thinks in terms of groups and masses of people, often discounting the good of the individual.
"You can be healthy and 80 but you are still not going to be able to do the same things as a healthy 20 year old."
This is exactly what the author is trying to let happen. Undoing the damage done to cells by the body's metabolism WILL allow you to do the same things as a healthy 20 year old. Sounds pretty good to me.
I don't think he would have asked Slashdot if he had gotten a satisfactory/complete answer from a professional.
All too often, doctors treat people as individual cases to be diagnosed, solved, and sent on their merry way. Those of us who want to know more are invited to look up the information ourselves.
I know, IHBT, but I thought it was a good point to make anyway.

No, just us and the Middle East, unfortunately.
The nice thing about the democratic republic system of government is that we can (and almost certainly will) vote out the people whom we feel are doing a poor job... some of them. It's too bad we can't vote for FBI, CIA, NSA and other executive-branch members too.
Let's be honest. You can usually tell within the first four sentences spoken - including the greetings and introductions - whether the caller is going to be capable of following instructions and perhaps even useful toward resolving the issue, or will be completely, utterly fucking worthless.
It's amazing how much you can learn just from hearing someone's voice. And I haven't been wrong yet.
What if it doesn't eliminate you as a suspect? What if there is something that makes you even more suspicious - and yet, you are still completely unrelated to the crime - and you are taken to prison and, say, raped by an inmate?
We are paranoid about our government because it commands enormous resources that are under the purview of individuals that are sometimes not entirely trustworthy (compare to your concern about people being responsible enough to carry loaded guns). Our goverment hides and outright falsifies information about a myriad of things that could be enormously beneficial to its citizens and the world at large because it is beneficial to its somewhat shady, ill-defined, perhaps amoral goals.
Do you honestly believe any governmental system can be much different?
Even extremely active sex is not as much of a workout as Cosmo and Maxim like to pretend it is.
Honestly, I think running is probably the best cardiovascular workout you can get.

I'd like C= to become the Apple of the PC world. I want them to make tremendously nifty PCs, like Sony, except not craptacular.
I'd buy one in a heartbeat.
I would have liked the 1940s thing if it hadn't been for the alien Nazi.

It made me sad, actually. Something kept telling me "this ship was supposed to go to the moon, and it's here because it didn't."
Call me sentimental, but she looked like a giant failure of human exploration to me.
... how long did it take for those titles to come out after the PC version came out?
Most of these are *remarkably* dated games. Q3A? FALLOUT?? Starcraft! Come on, man.

I'm sorry, but what the hell are you guys talking about?
Why are you implying that "armed insurrection" was Gore's only option to correct the results of the electoral congress?

I sure know which side I'm on.
I have it on very good authority that EFI gets at LEAST 15 miles more to the gallon than your puny little Civic.
SEE????
* clueless mods: please look up "EFI" within the context of the article. thanks.

Almost two years on a national helpdesk (customers all over the country). I'd say that's a pretty good cross-section of callers.

That's really all I wanted to say.
I never metamoderate and get mod points at least once every other week.
