    And one small fault on "wacking great DC supply" will send the whole server room west. Way to go. Excitement for all. Have a contest for the "most imaginative explication for the boss". The winner is the only "expert" who doesn't get hung up by the heels and beaten with rubber hoses. Yep.

    In other news - Chinese scientists demand verification of their new theory which (they claim) gives a totally new answer to the age old question:- Why did the platypus duck ? If anybody cares, they (the Chinese scientists) claim also that they now know "When the platypus duck ducked" and they say they can prove it too. The question has been referred to the United Nations.

    It has been said before, but I'll say it again. In Korea only old people ....... have the time for this kind of thing. What am I doing here ? I don't think it has been said before but I'll say it now. In Scotland, only old people ..... have the time for this kind of thing - and I'm a Scot and I'm getting old - so there !

    This linux system was for your own use, I hope. Otherwise, I think that there is a real risk that the end-user may decide to "catch the bus", as it were. Said end-user may even run after said bus crying "Wait for me, I can't take any more".

    Maybe the mayor thought he was being given the finger - since he was allowed to see (was shown) this console. Everybody I know has enough sense to "detect" when the boss is on the prowl. The other possibility that I can see is that this fellow is just a plain ordinary dimwit. Two things point to this - the salary for one and, for two, the fact that he does not appear to be planning to take the city to court over his firing.
