There are moments when I wish they'd sell me mine. I don't telephone to myself all that often, and so have trouble remembering it. Of course I'm quite old myself.... so maybe I should do like the Koreans.
(I thought it was old Japanese people who would sell you your telphone number so that you might telephone..... yourself. But excuse me, I'm just confused)
I'm with you, stardust. A quick, fair, public trial and hang the fellow immediately afterwards. Forward chaps, against the common enemy - and a very common lot they are too.
BUT COULD WE PLEASE STOP BEING SILLY ???
I've seen the same thing in France - but on a smaller scale, of course. There used to be small, local ISP's around here. They were all bought over or just run out of the business by nation-wide or european companies. The "personal touch" with real, knowlegeable people on the telephone disappeared with the local ISP's. Now, for the same big company, the service you get depends on where you are in the country. We seem to be into technical support ignorance with really heavy Indian accents too.
I agree - what are we going to do if Bill decides not to help us keep viruses (or virii) off of our systems? If we get serious for a moment though, I read of "stack attacks" which lead to DOS problems (and that's Denial Of Service). I still agree with you - Bill is not going to be much help with this, but it a problem that worries me.
Don't really mind who does it. Gnome or just a GPL version. I think I read a suggestion on/. regarding a GPL licensed version called Gonad. The splash screen was to announce "GONAD! Microsoft, don't you wish you had one ?!!" Don't care who does the work, but I think the splash screen should be kept. Complementary copy to Bill. Just my idea.. my deux centimes as you chaps say.
Now that is just nasty. It was very, very true but just nasty. The truth hurts - as somebody said - but even our friend Theo should try to look it in the eye, if only on occassion.
What you wrote needed to be written (in my opinion anyhow). I'm with you. Theo's pretty... well, just pretty. If he starts it, he shouldn't be overly surprised if somebody finishes it. Congratulations
Every first Thursday of the month. Just telling you out of kindness - it's none of your damn business really. Defrag your own life - you'll notice that it helps.
Have a really good day, and happy defragging.
Idea "Defrag with a friend, it saves wasting time while you wait for the process to finish"
How's your sex life ? Or haven't you hear of tht either. Leave Linux alone and try sex - this will heighten your awareness. Return after. Do not smile too widely.
But did you read the instructions ? Apart the usual "get Linux, it just works hype, and you get this right out of the box, and you heard it here first" You did read the instructions, you did, didn't you ?
As a "YES FRANCE" person, I've got to say that this whole thing worries the hell out of me. Now that I think about it, I can't think why. If the idea was to worry "Yes France" people though, your post is really good.
Have a really good day anyhow
Your idea has merit "Liberté, egalité, fraternité" where I live it is the fashion. But for priorites how about " Liberté, egalité, sororité " Slightly more amusing, I suggest.
Might one suppose the same relation between/usr/bin and/usr/sbin? Seems likely. If this is the case,/usr/bin must be more open than/bin, eh ? Else how would you get the usrs inside? Of course everything is possible - one remembers the year when Mum bought a turkey which was too big for the oven. We found this brick and we were able to "arrange" the turkey so as to have it fit. Could this solution be used to "arrange" some of the more "unfit" users ? There are days when I..... and I could sing too. Just a thought, excuse it please. Sorry.
Do you mean that Windows XP is not free? (Free as in "no charge, sonny, have fun if you can"). Seriously, did you guys pay for Windows XP ? If so, how much was it ? Excuse me, just curious. $1 seems a lot for such a thing.
Question from Google ...... "Were you searching for infinitely and/or dismally?"

Maybe not, but it looks like we have something right for once. Don't worry - with our politicians there's no way this is going to become a habit.
Sorry to have to ask, but what was the question exactly?
I must admit to being slightly surprised, yes. But only slightly.
I quite see what you mean, old chap. Now try reading it with a French accent and you'll see ...

You're right. Let us continue with OUR crusade. Big money is good, and I'd like some, but freedom has no price.

Spelling does or should count. Try a little harder, counting is easy once you get used to it.
In this context - it is hereby proven - "lucky" means what you want or need it to mean, in British English. (my 20 centimes de Euro worth)
Liked it ! Still laughing ! True too.

Ain't that a fact - and in our back pockets too. Et ce Taco - il faut qu'il se repose un peu.

Or even two - they might want to be normal. Brillant idea - I'm still laughing - thanks for a good start to my day.

Ain't that a fact, and a gentleman from Guatemala is a Guatemaltec, and this even when he is not a technician. 'Tis a strange world, 'tisn't it.
