Maybe the U.S. Air Force needs to take the initiative themselves and find some other browser to standardize on such as Firefox or Opera. The US Air Force, I'm sure of it, has knowledge of Internet Exploiter's abysmal security yet because of the so-called benefits of ActiveX and Microsoft's lobbying efforts, the US Air Force only has themselves to blame for using such insecure software. Why wait for Redmond to get up off their asses to fix IE security problems--we are talking almost 20 unpatched/unfixed vunlerabilities for the past couple of years--when you can be using a solution (Firefox, Opera, anything but IE) that at least, at the minimum has a better security track record then IE and timely patching of their software?

That said, I own a 360 and I really like it. I didn't get mine in the first wave - there were only something like 50,000 allocated to the whole UK - but I did pick one up in early January and so far I'm pleased with what it does. Ok, so there's no 'killer' game, but I wouldn't consider myself a hardcore gamer, but the few games I do have I find entertaining and great fun with friends. I'm not realy 100% sure what people mean by a 'next generation game', I bought the console specifically for its online capabilities and its ability to be a media extender. In those respects it's very, very good, and Nintendo and Sony have a long way to go to catch up with the likes of Xbox Live.
Nothing worse than a fanboy making execuses for the product they worship day and night over. Look at this nonsense you posted. No "killer" game + prolonged console shortage + lackluster average game catalog + fanboys conducting spin control for a rushed console = failed launch.

Linux would not be a truly Free (as in speech) OS if the GPL restricted or forbid its use by the military. For something to be truly free, it must be accessible to everyone. It is not in Microsoft's interest to develop and release a very secure operating system. Of course if any version of Windows was truly secure enough for the masses, then most people wouldn't upgrade from that version until they purchased a new machine with a new version of Windows preinstalled or ever. We all know this so it comes as no surprise that Microsoft would try to sell this version of Windows to be more secure then XP. They will do the same when Blackcomb (or whatever the next version is code-named) is going to be released. Anyone that continues to buy into the marketing propaganda that Microsoft spews will receive no sympathy from me. Personally I would not touch Vista due to its DRM-infested crap anyways.

I could not play Quake at acceptable levels with that crappy card. Boy was I so pleased to put down the cash for the Pure3D 3dfx card.
