    I thought the gray text on gray background was bad enough, but now the text is divided in half horizontally and I only get to see the top half. What gives? Looks like this in Firefox and Chrome.

    As a former EE professor who switched to industry I find it very hard to deal with a large number of people who are technically idiots and make tons of money. Why go into science when you can be rich playing basketball or being a rock star or a crook on Wall Street? As proof, I offer Snookie who is richer than all of us and knows nothing. Reality TV is the answer. Yeah, that's it!

    In Hawaii, nearly all electricity is generated by burning imported oil and naphtha. Geothermal is tiny and unreliable and they must sell power at the same price as the fossil-fuel plants. Wind turbines are rusting away unused: http://www.americanthinker.com/2010/02/wind_energys_ghosts_1.html. Solar is too expensive.

    Not true. I never plugged a DB connector in wrong, but I have plugged a USB connector in backwards (yes you can if you try!).

    If I have old laptops with XP, do they just stop working or just stop getting updates? Suppose I don't care about Explorer 10 or Media Player? If my old machine would boot up the Ubuntu Live CD (which it doesn't) I would be happier.

    So the OH comes from water and not from the more available OH in NaOH? That's hard to take. It's more likely the NaOH gets used up by this process.

    I always thought it made more sense to set off your bomb (not ME though) wherever you were in danger of being discovered. Why wait to get on the plane when there are lots of people standing next to unscreened terrorists? This means they would have to screen one person at a time in an isolated area and if you blew up the scanner, that's a million dollar loss. In the current system, they make you stand around in a crowd of unscreened people which creates the perfect target zone.
    Wait, there's a loud knock on my door. I'll just get that...
