"THIS" was referring to this round in the industry's release of hardware, but your list is true to the legacy of Nintendo.
One item which I particularly was impressed with (in it's day) was the Super FX addition. To have a console, and then one day, buy a game which turbo charged your hardware beyond it's maximum potential simply by putting in the game like every other blew me away.
I have often thought it would be amazing if you could slide a PCMCIA style card included with the game disc into your machine, which could again accelerate/introduce new technical features that were exclusive to that game.
I talked to an employee of a software company that has been around the Revolution's development crew, and I am starting to understand why Nintendo didn't release their controller's specs.
The phrase "tactile feedback" made my mind go crazy. And here I thought it was going to be some sort of successor to the Power Glove.
THIS will be Nintendo's contribution to the gaming industry. As microsoft just prevents wang-chung-foo from making ad-hock pieces with security dongles inside their parts, Nintendo actually raises the bar.
Whether "tactile feedback" or "inspired by the DS" actually is what I imagine, it sure ain't gonna be some sort of banana boomerang.
Just watch, soon somebody will create a trojan that exploits the potential of your GPU to the point that DirectX becomes unsecure, and then Microsoft will be forced to use OpenGL.
Well then you're just saying that Linux has failed to bridge the gap. Hell if I'm just going to switch my 200 Gig hdd into MULTIPLE fat32 partitions so that both windows and Linux can access it.
I can live without having all my windows applications work in perfect harmony upon crossover but if I can't even ACCESS my data??
Nintendo dosn't aim at Kids or Adults. They aim at everyone, unlike Sony and MS who aim ONLY at adults.
It's a heavy generalization, but a good generalization if one were to be made. Nintendo makes things that are fun, straight up. Mario Party 7??? Come on, they are obviously getting positive feedback from that series. You look at XBOX and what do they have that even TOUCHES the fun of Mario Party? Some game that has a music industry-acceptable hip-hop genre with sexual/violence mandated undertones.
Some people say that Nintendo is for kids. I say that those people are the same folks that wouldn't be caught dancing because their ego and social acceptance of what's "cool" prevents them from just letting loose.
Yeah that's something that really blows me away... Sure 10 years could happen.. but 24 Million clamshells? GEEZE! What are these inventors eating for lunch? Caviar??

Man having Triple AMD-64s running in sweet tune with each other would only be a step off from inserting a human brain into the thing and calling it the 3 Magi.
It'll probably just make the frame into a hover craft hanging on the wall. It'll blow itself off the hook and THEN you better hope that Maxtor has G-Force detection.
Oh the Hackadot Door, The Hackadot Door. Let's peek through the Hackadot Door. With Songs and Stories and So Much More! Doo doo dee doo doo! At the Hackadot Door.
This is a freaking cool idea. My head spins with excitement on the prospects of this process. To integrate a web browser engine into a 3d engine so that games and 3d-interactive worlds can access the online information network of billions!
So freaking sweet. I want to be able to browse the web on the rippling drops of waterfalls in a Myst like setting.
And if it's Second Life that allows this bridge to be crossed, then Kudos to them and all the best to Firefox for making the claim to that.
But.. I still ain't up for paying real world dollars for 10 acres of polygons.
Now this is organized crime.
Ivory is too expensive?? geeze.
I knifed a bitch for slamming his bmx into my Remmington's trunk while I was trying to pick up a hooker.
I then proceded to eat 4 servings of deep fried chicken.
18+ it is.
I totally agree. Fake wood inlays on the dashboard are critical to the overall functioning of the vehicle.

Wow. Way to pull off a rant about CTRL + C CTRL + V.. somebody needs to walk away from the computer and .. walk.

Hey, it could happen.
woOt go "running out of oil" hype! I was already stoked when I learned that biodeisel fumes smelled like freshly cooked doughnuts
Telus is just trying to bust the union. They don't give a damn about internet rights right now. Their company is falling apart.
Back when Telus was British Columbia Telephone and Alberta General Telephone, the unions were separate and everybody got along fine-ish.
Now Telus(the merged result with new management) is trying to squeeze efficiency out of their existing infrastructure and lay off workers etc...
It's a union busting tactic to see if they can break the TWU (telecommunications Workers Union).
They don't give a damn about censorship. They just want the union gone. Period.
So why can't Linux systems get the NTFS thing down pat? I can't believe that it's just a legal issue..

NTFS Compatibility. NTFS Compatibility. NTFS Compatibility. NTFS Compatibility.

You betcha! At 30 FPM!!!
It's gonna rock.
Hold on. If Creative disabled the digital output when playing DVD-Audio, then how do you listen to DVD-Audio with a digital reciever?
Or even better "Dupe II". Makes you feel like "YEAH ! LET"S READ IT AGAIN!!!@" :D

Oh yeah, so the Mako Gun from Final Fantasy VII just didn't cut it? I'm insulted.

I had to.
I bet the heat from his server melted all his ice cubes in his garbage bin.
Why not just throw the ice into the fan and make snow on your carpet?
