Why the hell is Chrome underlining enquiry as being misspelt? Argh, 'misspelt' too! FFS! You'd think for a global company which has properly localised versions of all their other products and websites, that Google could put an option for Commonwealth/International English into Chrome, rather than assuming everyone uses US English. Worse than bloody Microsoft!
You need to look harder... I'm currently using "English (United Kingdom)" and have been for quite a while.
My workaround is to middle-click on the comment headline to expand it AND open it in another tab. That doesn't collapse the rest of the thread in the current window. Then every minute or two I hit Ctrl-W 50 times to clean up.
Chrome has a nice feature to help you there... "Close tabs to the right" or just "close other tabs"
Like you said, for swordfighting, the one-to-one motion is key. If swinging the controller is just a trigger for a predetermined swing, it accomplishes nothing more than could be done by pushing a button, and they've missed the point. Wii Sport Resort swordplay is very close, but I don't think it's been done in a "real" game yet.
Does the gladiator game in Sports Champions qualify as a "real" game? Because it does one-to-one motion, as far as I can tell...
I'm sitting here on win7 and can't really see the problem TFA is writing about...
According to the task manager, I got 68 processes running, and using about 39% of my memory (reported at 3327MB)
Yet only about 200 MB is listed as free, and the rest (about 1800 MB) is listed as cached (as it should imo)
Well, if one should judge from the reviews, then it seems it has only been up for about 2hours... So I would suspect it to get a fair bit better quite soon
That's terrible if you want any kind of control, though.
And it doesn't solve the problem of multiple people accessing the document (and editing it) at the same time.
It just hides the problem, and forces you to go back and see who did what. They make that easy, sure, but it's no easier than "Document - By Bob on Date" and "Document - By Jane on Date". In fact, this is what Google Docs essentially does.
The open access, open edit method Google Docs uses is great for sharing, but it's terrible if you want any kind of control over who can view/edit a document when, redaction, or in general any kind of workflow where all users are not equal or usage rights change over time.
Isn't that one of the things they are going to fix with wave?
Well, personally I think I prefer the Sony method (though I have no experience with the MS one). Because as long as you are over the minimum charge limit, you can add any value you want.
Why should PC games be regarded as so different? There is no reason game publishers couldn't require their software be used on one computer at a time the same as a console disc.
Most pc games I've seen does require you to have the disk in the pc to play, as part of the copy protection.
Last time I tried, I had to choose "disable driver signature enforcement" from the advanced boot menu, every time I booted, or none of my usb-ports would work (because I had to install libusbwin). This was using the 7000 beta build, Though.
Aside from obscure legacy needs, I don't see any reason why a new user wouldn't go for the 64-bit versions, and if you have to run obscure legacy hardware or software, then you have to (and always have had to) live with some restrictions cause by that.
Well, on the 64-bit versions of windows you can't use unsigned drivers... Something that is needed to use, for example, the ps3 controller.
(And it's only possible to turn this feature off temporarily while booting)
Isn't this one of the reasons why steam has a pre-load option?

About as likely to be a nuclear explosion as if they'd dropped a volkswagon...
I'd put my money on the volkswagen

although now that my subscription "impressions" have been exhausted, oddly, I now have a "remove ads" checkbox on the front page??
I belive that has to do with karma...
And of course it refuses to recognize either of my external USB HDDs as a target for backing up or reading data from...
chances are that your USB HDDs are ntfs formated... try FAT32 and it should work like a charm
I guess this is where the offline update methods come in (USB-drive or disk comes to mind)
Who said anything about remotely? This is a hardware bug...

Don't you think most people would (if it ever got to that point) pick up the phone and call the ISP and ask them what's wrong?
There's also the later fat ones that don't play ps2 games but still have the other-os feature...

What about using a non-standard port for ssh? Like say port 80 or 443...?

Didn't I see some ancient crates in one of the scenes, that they just hadn't gotten around to check if are safe to open?

I assume ps3 works this way as well?
nope, the ps3 controller needs 3rd party (read: homegrown) drivers to work with the pc.
They need to get out a better video, if they have one, and soon.
well, that link was just a poorly shot video from a press-conference. here's a link to a better version http://e3.gamespot.com/video/6211130/sony-motion-controller-demonstration?hd=1
I think you are looking for something like this
well, I would suggest that you watch the 2 latest ones too, at least imo they are better than the 2 first ones...
isn't that one of the main uses of dosbox?
