Vsync still tend to add noticeable input lag even in games today. And some games still have issues with tearing even on lcd screens.
So I'm guessing this is what they are trying to fix.
Polygon did OK by updating their review, but I think Metacritic still has SimCity somewhere in the 60s... which is about 60 points more than EA and Maxis deserve.
That's probably also because metacritic won't accept updated scores, and will only use the first one...
From my limited testing, it will just open on whatever display you have. What connector you use seems completly irrelevant (as it should be).
I was using dvi on my normal monitor just to test it.
Additionally, in XP if I have multiple windows of an app open and there is room on the taskbar, they show as separate instances. In Win 7, they show as a single instance and I have to pick them out when I hover the mouse over them.
It's really simple to get that functionality back in windows 7 though. Also makes it easier too see if a program is running or just a "shortcut".
As long as you don't install a (non-notary-checked/non-SSL) browser patch over the compromised network then you should be fine.
How do you prevent this with the rise of silent/background patching of the browsers, like chrome does? (And I think I read somewhere that firefox does it too for minor patches, but don't quote me on that)
Players will require a Battle.net connection even to play single player.
Can you provide a link to somewhere where it says that they'll do it any differently than in Starcraft 2? (Where you can play the singleplayer without internet)
You know the character in The Simpsons is called "Lou", right?
Or maybe he doesn't have a data-cap on his home internet...

The problem is that the content-id system used, won't just target LPers... It also ends up going after reviewers and such.
From what I understand, the press version did not have the time limit that was in the beta...

According to the website, the Squirt has a 4.06cm blade.
IIRC most 3D monitors can run at 120hz when not in 3D mode

Shattered Horizon does this I think.
I would think it has more to do with the fact that for ages now space has not been something you could have in a password.
The problem I had with the classic xp theme was that everything was bigger than 2k and 9x anyway...

Well, if you know anything about reading .reg files, I'll link the one I use
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/230142/folder_setting_savefix.reg
That's odd, mine works just like xp did in that regard. Maybe some of my registry tweaks have something to do with that...
Those little SNES consoles they set up at stores back in the day->designed to get you hooked on the game so you guy it.
I believe they still got those (Only with xboxes and playstations of course...)
I seem to recall them only taking seconds to get to the moon, at least in the second episode...
Wouldn't that be a good time to throw up some sort of warning?

You do know that you can buy items with ingame money too, right?
... If the game gets hard in a place, I have nothing against cheating. I can't stand endless grinding in single player RPGs ...
How about some new items from the Diablo 3 store to help you out on your quest during the hard parts?
And before someone starts ranting, you will be able to buy items for ingame gold too.
it seems that most of what they are doing is related to trying to keep a truly secure, cheat-free economy in Diablo III
Could someone explain how a SINGLE player game would affect the economy of the ONLINE game?
From what I understand, they plan to have us use the same characters in both single and multi play.
Maybe that's why he said "most" and not "all"...

The only people I've met who dislike Steam are people who haven't used it or haven't used it in the past four or five years.
Then I guess you haven't met people who had a sudden Internet disconnection and couldn't get online to enable offline mode.
Well, my steam will pop up with This if I try to start it up without internet.
