    Oh come on! You can try harder than that.

    The fact that you lack a bad quality should never be your selling point (i.e. "I am not pathetic" is no good)

    You have to think of something catchier, such as "my libido is only surpassed by my uptime"... corny, yes, but catchier than "I am not pathetic", and it at least includes a geek element.

    and btw, no I'm not a girl, so no.

    Mods - mod this as offtopic if you like, but you must understand that I'm trying to help this guy out.

    Google reveals that pbranes is in fact not the first to use the term..... unless he frequently visits/admins some very raunch sites (see second page).

    In all honesty, does anyone think Mozilla will be able to overtake IE anytime soon? Do you think it would take a court ruling to give Moz a fair shot (perhaps one that required Firefox be included in XP installs :)?

    or are the kernel version numbers escalating rather quickly. Already at 2.6.7? Isn't the 2.4 kernel still at 2.4.2x? Can someone explain to me the reason behind the quick rise? Are they just anxious to get to v.3?

    Music has been sold via hardcopy in stores for decades, and in higher quality than you'll ever find on Kazaa! You can't spin your usage of Kazaa as you being a victim. Get up and trot over to your local music store and pick up an album.

    I don't mind people who get singles from Kazaa (hell, the things play on the radio all day), but it irritates me when someone takes a self-righteous stance and acts as if they deserve all the free music and movies they can get their hands on. (not saying you are.. I'm just ranting)

    enough cooling power to shatter the T1000 toucheé Geek 3.3, toucheé. Impressive job integrating an old villian into new conversation. Still though, I think the original poster was pretty much saying that you can't really get any better by modding. Sure, you can get flashier, but you will just be detracting from the grand design of the new G5.

    That's great that new G5s are out, but am I the only one a little underwhelmed by the increase in proc speed? (Especially considering the "3Ghz in a year" when they were first announced).

    Anyway, sorry to be looking at the glass half-empty. :)

    It has taken years for MS Windows and KDE to catch up.

    Whenever I think of Microsoft/others trying to catch up to Apple's UI design, I think of a mouse in a wheel trying to catch a hanging piece of cheese.

    No offense to the non-apple aficionados, I actually do like WinXP and KDE3. I just think Apple is far and away the leader in UI design.

    It is, if you can see 3 hours worth of porn in under 5 minutes. That does leave you another 2h50 minutes of extra time to study.

    Gigabit ethernet != time compressor. Three hours is still three hours. Unless the network hardware they're selling is a flux capacitor, three hours of porn will still take you three hours to watch. And since when is 100Mbit/s not fast enough to stream high quality video anyway?

    The detail of that map is just frightening. I wouldn't be surprised if the shows animators use it as a reference now. Then again, maybe they have their own map, in which case, the dudes that reverse engineered it really wasted their friggin time.
