I think not. Maybe if you had not wasted so much time checking your spelling and checking to make sure your CAPS LOCK key was not accidently set you would have made it.
Since it was Card, I figured the comment needed a literary component . Also, since it was Card, I thought I would make it a Biblical reference since I don't know much about the Book of Mormon.
The outcome of this is clear. All we have to do now is wait to fill in the blank.
Enraged Trekkie __________ attacked Orson Scott Card today and beat him senseless with a 1960s-vintage officially licensed Star Trek (tm) phaser. Other trekkies soon arrived in mass and quickly stoned the defenseless Card to death with their DVD box sets of TOS, TNG, DS9, Voyager and Enterprise.
Card had made the mistake of making comments in a Los Angles Times op-ed piece about the Star Trek franchise that did not deify all people ever involved in the series, including bit-part actors who barely had speaking parts. He even went so far as to suggest that perhaps Star Trek was not the best TV series of all time.
"He made some good points in the article," said a fellow sci-fi writer who feared for his life and did not want to be identified. "Too bad he had to make them about Star Trek. I'll miss him."
I had this problem also, but with Excite. But I don't have the problem any more. I use the AdBlock plugin instead of the built in ad blocking. The plug-in allows blocking by URL instead of just by server. Much better.

Rick Berman, Dem, CA, is one of the guys behind this. Follow the money. He was the guy behind the proposed legislation to allow hacking people's computers if they were suspected of P2P file sharing. John Paczkowski of Good Morning Silicon Valley referred to him as a "Congressman and Hollywood sock puppet". Is this the guy you want deciding how you will get your music?
This would not be anything like Y2K. The code to change the time for Daylight Savings Time is already there. This is just a change in the data. Plus, it is generally only the OS that needs to be changed. The only real problem would be embedded electronics.
Living on the eastern edge of a time zone, I would love for DST to be extended.
Having made fun of the names, I must admit that the two distros I have used the most are Mandrake and Mepis. I guess I can put up with the name Mandriva and I can now correctly pronounce Mepis.
The Mepis website says pronounce it like Memphis without the extra letters, but they didn't say which pronunciation of Memphis, the correct one, with a short e, or the one most people it the SE US use, with a short i instead of e. Since Linux users are intellectuals without equal;), I base it on the correct pronunciation of Memphis and pronounce it with a short e.
I'm sure glad they didn't pick some wimpy combination of Mandrake and Conectiva. Now the three top distros at Distrowatch (choose last 3 months) will all have great-sounding, easy-to-pronounce names:
I have never understood why TiVO is the PVR that gets all the press. I have two PVRs from ReplayTV that I really like. I don't have ads popping up and I can jump (not just fast-forward) past commercials. ReplayTV did try a pause ad for a while a couple of years back, but cancelled it after users complained. The only ads they have now are an occasional (about 2/yr) ad for a ReplayTV sale or contest.
Good quality cables are important, but beyond "meets requirements" there is nothing more to be gained. Monster Cables are for people with more dollars than sense.
The shuttles are no more dangerous now then they were for the earlier two decades they've been in service
The problems is not that they are more dangrerous now. They have always been this dangerous. It is just that now the danger is better understood. Ignoring risk does not make it go away.
That said, I am not against using a manned (sorry, crewed) mission to repair the Hubble if that is the best option. In any case, the risks needed to be understood, reduced as much as possible and accepted or rejected; not just ignored.
Also read about it at the University of Alberta website and in the Press release
There aren't many people evaluating pages. It's page rank is only 513,258; right after the ever-talked-about talk.guns.ru.
The Linux Mirror Project is a similar site that has been around for awhile.

Not sure exactly what you are looking for, but try this category at Long's AV. Also search for 'cart' to see more. $100 to $600.

I've not used any, but from what I hear CentOS is a very popular choice.

Yes. That's right. I was just posting the URL of the previous discussion for those who wanted to read it since the URL wasn't listed in the article.
This was previoulsy discussed on Slashdot here a few years ago.

This one has been pointed out a few times, but it is the biggest. It is here and here. I think the first one is the official site.
