    Well, here's the problem. Neurosis, wild paranoia, and in fact the entire GNU/Open Source experience, is completely alien to a certain kind of person. Artists [atspace.com], fashion mavens [atspace.com], scientists [atspace.com], and other [atspace.com] creative [atspace.com] personalities [atspace.com] will cut people a little slack for innocent mistakes, thereby demonstrating their sensitive [atspace.com], tasteful [atspace.com] aesthetic [atspace.com]. It's a rare instinct, this appreciation for beauty [atspace.com] and truth [atspace.com]; unimaginative squares haven't a prayer.

    Dull little people, dutifully performing dull little tasks, should stick to Linux [atspace.com] and Windows [atspace.com].
    Staying cool is for different thinkers [atspace.com].


    Whatever, just don't dirty my Bentley during your begging (working) hours when you retire with a garage full of overpriced Macs.

    As per Amnesty International, China executes the most prisoners every year. Who is number two? The USA, ahead of Iran, Saudi Arabia and a whole host of de facto dictatorships.

    Considering the Chinese population is easily 4 times that of the US it is really nothing to be proud of.

    I am sure per capita the US is numero uno.

    Does anyone doubt that, when genetic engineering reaches the point where we can graft human vocal chords to chimps and dolphins, some of them will be plainly more intelligent than many humans?

    Never once do I doubt that dolphins are actually singing "So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish" everyday in the aquarium :)

    Don't you mean UNDER-priced? There have been quite a few articles on how they're selling it at a loss.

    You believe everything they say don't you?

    Like other posters have said, the figures are derived from adding up RETAIL prices of those components that make up the XB360. I doubt very much we will see Bill Gates dicking around at Fry's with a shopping cart loaded with millions of parts.

    The actual cost of the whole console would probably be just cost of the CPU + cost of hard drive + cost of memory + $50, and for all that MS is selling to consumers "at a loss" for $400.

    Remember, things in China virtually assemble themselves, assembly costs are so low it is literally pennies.

    I'm curious, do you go around making racist speach? If not you have nothing to worry. You're being paranoid. There are millions of people going in and out of Singapore. I'm sure out of the millions in Singapore, there are thousands who will make some stupid racist comments. Yet you don't often hear of people getting caught for racist remarks. Unless u r that stupid to give a racist free speach in public area. But even if you so, I think you may not be charged with sedition Act but rather disruption of public order- that is if you indeed cause chaos.

    If one goes around with racist remarks, he won't be welcomed anywhere anyway.


    Just as an informative snippet, Singapore has no opposing political parties. The majority of the opposing politicians are probably in Australia right now as we speak, with warrants out for the arrest back home, and their life assets frozen on Singaporean soil.

    Sure, at least chewing gum is a illegal to possess there too, which AFAIK if you are caught with some, you will be charged in court and possess a criminal record.

    Good luck finding a decent job, if ever. Bad news travels fast in a small nation too.

    Just don't use your liberty at other's expense and you are quite safe.

    Similarly you are losing your own personal liberties for a CHANCE to protect that of the community. Not everyone will commit an offence even if it is not made illegal in law, but having it written out in ink and paper does deny many otherwise honest people of doing said acts.

    They may also have weird laws but which country doesn't? One man's meat another man's poison. That's all I can say.

    Glad you enjoyed your meat, personally I found my 20 years there to be poison, and I am glad to be out of there.

    made contact.

    LOL, a nuke, that's about as useful in space as a hucking the metal it's made out of at them, it'll be difficult to nuke someone in a vacuum since you know, your kind of depending on particles being able to hit each other. Furthermore, having a really fast ship counts for a lot, here's why, you fire a nuke at their home planet, assuming you can just look up at the stars and decide which one it is, it gets there in a hundred billion years from now, the radioactive isotope your using has gone from multi-gigaton, to less exothermic energy than I dunno water in water.


    Why don't we install FTL drives into the warheads then?

    And do you have any basis AT ALL for what the origins of life are, mr brainwashed? Why should I believe you? Why not the Norse creation myths? That's the real issue at hand, the human race is growing up, some want to remain children and believe fairy tales, the rest wants to grow up. Like growing up, it hurts to realize the universe doesn't make sense, you're on your own and nobody "up there" exists. Grow up, or let the adults grow up.

    It is their choice to remain as God's children, likewise since you believe you have grown up now, it is perfectly acceptable for you to bear full responsibility for your actions when the time comes. Just too bad that even an eternity of hell isn't enough to atone for your misdeeds though.
