I think that mac owners enjoy a lot of security-through-obscurity. Virus wrighters usually want to infect as many people as possible, which means that they wright virus for MS operating systems since nobody else has signifigant market share. If mac OS X or the BSD it is based on becomes more popular then we will see many more viruses for mac os.

Since things bought online are done via credit card or paypall, the fees charged by paypall or the credit card company must be covered. These will add up signifigantly if the cost of the items is very cheap (i.e. 25 cents). That is probbly part of why it is dificult for companys to go much lower than a dollar a song.

  20. it's not "trendy" on Why Have PDAs Failed In The iPod Era? · · Score: 1

The Pda isn't trendy. People don't just buy an iPod because it is a good mp3 player, but also because they are in. the iPod is no better than lots of other portable mp3 players, many of which are cheaper or have extra feaures (voicd mp3 encoder, FM radio and no DRM). The iPod is "cool" and the PDA isn't. Goodbuy Karma, but it sooooo true

I would be willing to bet that the people most victomized by these crimes are not the well-to-do busness men or the double income no kids, but the struggling to make ends meet, the elderly and the uneducated. That the way it is with the lotery, conmen and most other scams. These people make easer marks.
