I think the reason they chose Florida would be that since it is on the mainland, transporting supplies is cheaper. If we had to ship it all to Hawaii it would definitly increase the total cost of the program, which is waaay too much already.

I dont know. right now i have an ibm 2 button ball mouse that is at least 10 years old, maybe more, and it looks like new, except for discolored plastic from years of use. the darn thing works just as good as my optical mouse, even with no mouse pad. so dont say that ibm hardware is shit. just the stuff more complex than a mouse

However, all the outdoor scenes in half life and it's mods are really just big rooms with sky textures applied in the right place. The trick isnt the illusion of outdoors, but the actual size of the room. For instance, a large sewer/factory room with many machines in it will run slower than a medium sized outdoor area with some scattered rocks and debris. I dont map ID software, so im not sure if its exactly the same, but its probably the same general procedure.

This happened to me, and it sucked. I was drivin along listening to my favorite rock station, and all of a sudden it switched over to some easy listening NPR type talk program. These people aren't reclaiming the airwaves, they are stealing from legal radio stations that have paid and gotten licences to broadcast. The mere idea of "reclaiming the airwaves" is ridiculous. If they want to be heard, they should get a radio licence from the FCC. Personally, I think the FCC should prosecute these people and get them off the air.

What about macs? and case mods? better yet-4x4 trucks. something can be both functional and beautiful at the same time. appearance is objective, so what looks cool to me, a gamer, looks stupid to "cooler" high fasion people. also, a device being wearable is another part of function, not form. being able to take your computer with you in a more portable form than a laptop could be extremely useful to some users. these devices might replace PDA's, but then again, they might just fall into the cracks as new tech replaces them.

Sure, windows isn't the greatest, but then again, examine the average user. If most of the people that I knew used Linux, their machines would crash & burn within a week. Fact is, microsoft is easy to use, so most people use it. If set up correctly Windows can be very stable, provided you know what you are doing. Linux is more stable because the user base is more knowledgable. There are less security holes found because less hackers are looking. I don't condone Microsoft's business tactics, but that doesn't make Bill Gates satan.
