Just for comparison: 163 pounds of uranium would have a volume of slightly more than 1 gallon. This is with density 19 g/cm^3 This should put it in perspective: 1 gallon of uranium vs. 29,000,000 gallons of fuel oil. Simply amazing energy density.

How much does fox earn in advertisament per episode of simpsons? A dated statistic ( here) said 30 seconds of ads cost around $300K in 2000. I think there are 8 minutes of commercials out of the total 30 minutes. A rought estimate with those values is around $5 million per show. What I want to find out is how much do I make them in ad revenues. I bet it's far less than 1 dollar/person. I bet since Fox is the middleman here, it would be possible to buy an eposode directly from the maker for much less, or perhaps for 1 dollar per episode for unlimited viewing.
Now Season 5 sells on Amazon for around 1.5/episode on DVD. For bittorrent distribution ~$1/episode seems reasonable.

How can we get our Iranian friends back in the Web?

The real question is why should we? I know this is highly ideological, but I think this was the real problem with the liberation of Iraq. You cannot give people freedom and democracy when they don't want it. When I say they don't want is because to this point they did not revolt, protest or overthrow the goverment. Sure, there has been some opposition but not enough or on a national scale. For this reason, iranian and others should fight for their rights themselves.
