The nascent point here is that USB 2.0's 480 Mb/s is theroretical, and, unless I just haven't heard otherwise, has yet to be reached. Firewire's 400 Mb/s is achieved consistently. The difference is that USB has a great dal of CPU overhead involved, firewire has it's own controller, removing the burden from the cpu. This is why Firewire speed is constant and reliable, making it better for video editing.

So, in other words, it is a superior product because of the bullet-point features the maker shoehorned into it, in spite of my not needing, wanting or using them! But since it's not made by Apple, I am not a marketing-influenced sheep, I am a smarter, hipper, superior being!!!!

Funny how the idiotic apple-bashing always picks on iTunes. Iriver players only work with their godawful software, nobody bitches about that. At least iTunes has a decent interface. And, really, who gives a damn about OGG other than Gnu-sucking zealots? And WMA? does anybody who knows enough to post here not know how to find trans-coding software?

Where to begin.... First, Sony announced wi-fi on PSP before Nintendo even announced the DS. Second, the "main source of input" is up to the developers, not the system or it's fanboys. Most DS games use the d-pad, last I checked.

The reason Apple went with Intel was simple. Intel could provide a complete chipset solution, not just a CPU. Intel has the production capacity to supply 1:1 a complete sboard+chip for every order placed. AMD just makes CPUs, and usually not enough to meet demand. Besides, just because the Dev units are P4s, do you really think that the chip for the MacIntels is just going to be an off-the-shelf x86?
