like in Germany. Does this mean they will not be able to export those shows and thus losing a lot of revenue or will they just try it anyway, get caught and banned?
Or will these countries get edited versions, 70% shorter...;-)
I for one don't welcome our wannabe-overlords and will be avoiding Sony products like the plague in future. Who knows what else they are hiding in their software (and most products these days come with some sort of software)
> The American idea of dividing the powers up
It's not an American idea. You guys might think you invented democracy, but the idea of 3 powers in a state came from the Greeks - about 3000 years ago.
They sound completely cr*p and are illegal in many countries (including Germany).

The Mazda concept is only that - a concept. The VW is in production now, so about 2-3 years ahead.

I saw this at the IAA car show yesterday, and it looks cool.
I saw the Ipod adapter as well, and it simulates a CD-canger, so only the first 5 playlists are accessible as disks 1-5, the 6th disks are lists 1-5 together.
In Europe it is now illegal to tell publicly how to bypass copy 'protection' schemes, no matter how simple they are.
If this 'trick' works on a copy protection by another record company, can they now sue Sony for telling people how to crack it?
Please, let there be a small indie label that sues Sony!!
For years the media were just talking about the ID cards, and never mentioned the database. Either because they wanted to distract from this fact (conspiracy theory... ?) or they were just too stupid to see the actual problem (Journalists, eh..).
In my eyes the database is the actual problem! This is why you are not required to carry your card with you: The police can x-check you against the database at any time anyway and this way can always find out who you are, even if you don't have your card on you!
The UK government keeps saying 'Other countries had this for years', and THEY HAVE NOT! They had cards, but NO CENTRAL DATABASE!!
A num pad on screen, you have to type in the numbers with the mouse.
Random button arrangement could ake this even safer, but off course more awkward to use.
They are over here - the 3 series is always in the top 3-4 of best selling cars in Germany.

If they effectively admit in the EULA that this is spyware, it can go straight on the list without anybody looking at the program! Problem solved!
Is there a list of CDs that are affected, except the one Mark Russinovich used.
Funnily enough Britain is one of the very few countries that actually does not have a written constitution.

Wow, thank you! I wonder if this is why?

No surprise, Oil& Gas industry at the top!
Maybe the congressman should disclose in who's pocket he is.
How could they forget him?
nobody had noticed if he hadn't touted about it on the news.
Now mod me down, cowboys

They just want more people to watch their boring Money TV programs. Nice try!
So why not introduce what other countries had for years: A difficult to forge ID card with NO CENTRAL DATABASE.
The problem is the central ID database, not the piece of plastic! Surely you haven't got one of those in Belgium!
And that's where the real problems start!

Firing somebody for trying something new? You will soon have a scared, non-productive staff base.

Only if you chisel it in stone...
