  1. uh?m is that the smallest you can get ? on Teacher Julie Amero Gets a New Trial · · Score: 1

That sure fails the average penis size, but no worry,
    lots of people caring about your size have solutions for cheap prices thru e-mail;

I have a distinct feeling this isn't taken funny but trollish .. still .. trolls don't have solutions for size problems ;)

  2. Creative programming gets killed by Microsoft? on Microsoft Slaps Its Most Valuable Professional · · Score: 1

I've been programming for some while now, started with basic, grew to C++ and TP/BP 6.0 and 7.0, assembler, Perl, etc.. and always have found out that programming is a creative way how to get things done you normally cannot get done. Finding ways and methods of getting that thing done which you dearly want to have done.

Since Windows95 came out I stopped with programming; because a lot of that creativity was taken away by "visual" languages where you could practically drag-n-drop your modules to your code; which is more (to my opinion) a spaghetti-form-of-coding instead of freeflow programming. But .. every developer his own choice and taste and am pretty sure these applications built by Visual languages are tweakable till the bare bone...

Still, what Microsoft seems to be doing here is to limit any creativity of a programmer how to get things done that were previously not possible; even because of the limitations set by Microsoft; this guy did his work as developer. He fixed the technical limitations he had with his own programs on his own way .. that's pure creativity ..

After showing that kind of creativity he got an award and got hit in the face,
Am I glad I jumped the Perl/Python bandwagon .. am I so glad I didn't grow further into Microsoft products (and law and bullying).

I've been using their "free" basic service for years; it was always their small little 16x16/32x32 icon; not really intrusive.

Then suddenly my pages using their stats service had a nasty pop-under. I've seen this at other sites too and found out the "new" advertisement ways after a few weeks when I started getting bothered seeing the same pop-unders over and over while I wasn't even on any other sites.

These pop-unders were all activated under Firefox and it's clearly in their TOS they can advertise on websites; only; which I had on my website was all except "good" for my site; the pop-under involved pornography because of a reference to some articles about STD's a couple of years ago. It made me sick to always get that XXX-commercial on my own website and got rid of Nedstat ever since.

webalizer for the win! less eye candy but still enough stats to chew on without all the nastyness...

I hear most often the screen getting "updated". Every time a high-pitch-tone is coming out of the CRT each time I get full screen updates or whenever I play a game on it. Same on television; I can hear this mostly when pressing FORWARD/REWIND of having static on the screen. It's often hardly noticible.

A lot of people call me crazy whenever I hear electronics whispering like that; it's not only with CRT's but also with some TL lightbulbs, transformers and even some CPU's give this distinctive sound. If I stay in the same room with a television with static on it for more than a hour I get headaches because of the continuesly-changing-waves in this high-pitch sound.

I am thirty and got this already since my mid-teens I am hearing these sounds; the bad thing is, these sounds are getting WORSE by the day!
And no, I don't need a shrink to evaluate these sounds; since it ain't voices talking to me. (I think) *grin*

Totally not meant to troll (own opinion); I still do wonder myself why it is more possible for people to protest for television shows and not against their current way of their government deals with them. Is television so much important next to privacy and environment?

Such actions against the government would for sure wake up -some- sleeping animals and would for sure also attract the attention of a lot more people because of the media. I call such action "thrown away" only to get back a television show while it could be lots bigger than that. OK; great for them fans, but, couldn't that amount of money be spend more wisely to protect eachothers lives and interests on a way higher level?

  21. Don't break open my mouth about such! .... on The Man Who Owns the Internet · · Score: 2, Informative

I lost my domain xsrv.org after +12yr of registration. First some hell when I needed to let it expire because Internic (Network Solutions) could not transfer it after I called them roughly FIVE times from Belgium. I transferred it over to Joker; I am very satisfied about the service until lately I did not receive any renewal mail about xsrv.org; I did about the xsrv.net and .com domains so I took them ALL THREE and I renewed them immediately.

xsrv.org failed and yet again I have not received a mail from that robot. A few weeks later I started to discover a spam-decrease and the missing end-of-the-month mailing list digests which I normally receive on my xsrv.org domain. Stuff stopped functioning as it should be functioning and I did not receive my regular correspondence; even my .be (government ID) correspondence is still blocked completely. I didn't look in the matter immediately since xsrv.org was also hosted on the same network/same DNS server; so it all looked "fine" to me. It's currently hosting a search-engine poisoning engine.

Some while later the xsrv.org domain has been taken by Mr. Wilson; of the Wilson group. I've notified the WIPO about it and they tell I got a strong case about this; even in such matter that he could bail out before the panel decides. Still, it's a costly procedure to start this and I'd like to get my domain back in a normal way; without paying the $1000 RANSOM to Mr. Wilson ; or without getting it back by force using the WIPO with $1500. It's a double edged sword; both costing money; although the WIPO would sound lots more fair to me since his name *WILL* get published on their website.. I swear !

Don't break open my mouth about these people doing business like this; this guy took my house and he will be evicted from it; still I am wondering how this will be happening in a best and easy possible way without hurting MY OWN wallet about this. I am still not done changing everything from .org to .net and have plentoria of documents with my regular normal "home" xsrv.org domain in it; which is bothering me even more... He interrupted my personal communications for almost a half year now!

I already notified his and our registry about this; no changes happened yet..
