  1. high usernumbers? the number of the devil ? on Pirate Radio Stations Challenge Feds · · Score: 1
    Dear Ingolfke,

I can tell by your high /. # that you're relatively new here. Soon you'll realize that this isn't the God for geeks and nerds... there is no library at Congress here... this is not the Beetle for Internet nerds. But... clearly by your response it's obvious you will understand this simply by me telling you. So, older learner, continue in your posts and some day you will realize the truth.

I've got years of experience including searching what I really want at the search engines; in 99% of the cases I find what I need and if it's non-existant I will get a neat "no results" reply back. I've tried to deliberately search for a lot of keywords regarding kiddie porn, including the "r@ygold" keyword mentioned in the Wikipedia Child_porn stub.

I have found absolutely NOTHING which even resembles kids having sex with adults/kids. I've even taken it further into research and tried it on a few P2P networks; whereunder Limewire. Lots of results but nothing which even resembles a bit to a kid ...

I have to conclude these sites are either very underground or not indexed on the Internet to protect their "investment" to get caught by the feds. This content is simply not available to the wide public.

Aside from that, I have received a couple of spam e-mails which do contain links to "lolita" sites where "they" sell kiddieporn over the net. I have notified such site to Childfocus, an organisation in the EU which comes up for exploited/missing children. The reply was very simple; best to delete the mail because they cannot been catched anyways. Probably a very standard response while I would have thougth they have the connections with the law to interrupt such "businesses" exploiting children...

I am very convinced Mr. Gonzales has a complete different agenda next to kiddie porn; since; the Internet has way larger problems regarding spams, scams, spyware and trojans instead of kiddie-bits.

Their TOS seems to hide the facts by masking it as a "security feature" instead of spyware.. Look carefully to the TOS:

    (b) "Public Messenger ver 2.03": Popup advertising module that opens Internet Explorer ad windows when you are connected to internet.
    (c) "Internet Security Add-On": your Internet Explorer homepage will be changed.
    (d) Security software: antivirus/antispyware application.

Even I, after reading this would not think this would be "spyware" with exception to (b). I don't like any software to change the settings/homepage or interface without me agreeing to it anyways but still .. it's a dodgy TOS

I am having ADHD; got it genetically from my mother. This means I am depressed half of the time; because evidentely I do care about too much which I shouldn't even care about....

I've had Relatine (Ritaline) on doctors prescription for me. That time when I started taking that drug I could not draw, design, write anymore; I could not mix my music (am weekly resident DJ); nothing creative worked.

It was like I am now thinking in tree-structures to solve things; both my body, mind and emotions will solve my problems now. If I feel bad; I will try to think till the roots of the problem to solve that problem too...

With the drugs I was thinking "straight headed" as there was only one road paved for success.. but.. it wasn't. The drugs started to take control over my personality because I could not find my own ways of dealing with things; there was just one option, the option of a "clear head" and a "direct decision". I felt happy .. for a moment ....

After 7 months Relatine started to go haywire with me; I could do nothing creatively anymore, it was making me more crazy and even more mentally depressed. I stopped with those pills and after 1 year and a half I could seriously mix, draw and write again as I could before.... That particular drug destroyed a lot in my brains for some time; and I still feel the leftovers of it; it alters perception and it alters your personality too...

This drug is being given to kids who are (often mis)diagnosed to ADHD; I am glad though I quitted Relatine completely. I feel not only my life has been further than ever but I am also feeling MYSELF again ...

A lot of users don't care how big their e-mail boxes grow; they can grow 1gig, 2gigs and even more if you don't cap them. Not only that but these same users subscribe to all their IMAP folders which means they will always pull down all these folders down to their personal computer.

If you got users who don't watch their own mailbox it will grow till it'll burst or get very very VERY slow. Go imagine; a company of 10-15 users having mailboxes at our server; all of them having growing mailboxes. It'll be slow, unhandy and unhappy too.

Capping is the only way; 250-500Mb is a normal limit; 750 is already over and 1 to 2gig is for most users suicide. You expect more? Well do that 100x and then talk again. Google might be doing the good way but they got their own infrastructure based for e-mail; they got the servers and they got the booze ...

There is still a lot of responsibility; if you don't empty your snailmail box it will get full and no other mail will be able to be put in that mailbox; same thing for e-mail; users need to get responsible for what they want to keep and what they need to throw away; which will make the e-mail world already a better place.

Add spam to this; which can be 20-25% of the overhead and the picture is complete.

I've just had my mailbox totally inaccessible because I had 2 weeks an eye infection; I was free on doctors recommendation; didn't check my mailbox; after 3 weeks I had continuesly problems accessing my INBOX because it was just too full. And yes; I've got mailscanner + razor + spamassassin installed on my servers.

E-mail is NOT a storage space or a file cabinet; if you want to store e-mail you better back-it-up or store it locally in local folders; because e-mail is not made for such big boxes.
