    Occam's Razor would point out that they did what was easiest and less time consuming, which is disable this in the code and re-compile, when dealing with textures that are used for many different areas, taking out a little bit of code is a lot easier than remapping parts of a city or altering game art...

    I would say they also made this decision close to submitting to the ESRB and chosing the safe road of not including this instead of seeing what the ESRB would rate them with it included and then being FORCED to remap parts of the city and change art...

    You are saying that they disabled this content but left it in the game to pad their bottom line?

    How does this even make sense?!? It doesn't...

    They disabled this content in the game, told no one about the content and only after how many months of record sales has someone reverse engineered the code to find this disabled content and make it available?

    Maybe i could give your statement even a shred of believability if they had, in some way shape or form, let people know about this content... but unfortunately for you and your line of reasoning, they didn't...

    The original bf1942 bot experience was ver rich, i could choose the number of bots, timelimit, ticket ratio, even BOT RATIO (to uneven the teams against you, which i like to do), BF2 gives you a preset love it or leave it single player EXP...

    I really liked the ending to Jurrasic bark, I thought it was touching and moving.

    I didn't think it was depressing, I guess that is because Fry thought that the dog forgot all about him which would have been sad because they were such good friends, but instead the dog did love Fry and that love endured until his death... I dunno maybe I got the wrong message or i'm just too sentimental? *grabs tissue*

    I think the upper classes _should_ share a bigger burden of the tax, it is the lower classes that form the support structure that allow the upper classes to remain there.

    Well the only problem with this assesment is that it doesn't hold true for the sex, no matter how the sex is represented on film or games (whether it is hardcore porn or 2 married people engaging in an act of ultimate love and bonding) it is treated the same way (censored).

    Violence in any form is bad, but this does not hold true for sex so to treat them the same or sex worse than violence IS absurd.

    I thought it was because evil is the path to death and righteousness is the path to life...

    Thats why the religous fundies hate anything related to sex because it ultimately promotes life.. but coudln't care less about violence because it ultimately leads to death.

    Yes, I am saying that religous fundies are evil, but i base this on their actions, which always shows the face of evil rather than that of a following of Christ...

    this reminds me of a movie i was watching on TV the other night, I can't remember the exact movie but think pulp fiction type violence and gore...

    The funny thing about the movie was that after this long drawn out violent scene (bullets flying, people's insides splattering, blood everywhere) someone said Fuck you.

    Now none of the violence was cut out or shortened, but the word fuck, oh noooo!!! Can't have that, instead the changed it to hug...

    So after this long violent scene the character turned to the motionless bodies and said "No!, Hug you!!!

    It's insane

    He is a twit of the highest caliber..

    I tried to talk to him (via his email link on his Gov website) about violence and sex in gaming and one of the bills he was proposing (having to do with making games with a m or higher rating unavailable on a sales floor (aka porno shop back room)).

    He didn't give a crap about my views, the information I was providing or the possible effect of his legislation... all he cared about is if I was in his voting district (which i am right outside of but feel like moving just so I can vote against him).

    Obviously this is all about the way he looks to possible voters and showing them he "cares about the family" yadda yadda... this has little if anything to do with actually protecting children or helping parents raise/protect their kids.

    AO is defined as "Titles in this category may include prolonged scenes of intense violence and/or graphic sexual content and nudity."

    Well at least the ratings aren't vague and ambigous...

    Sheesh can anyone tell me what differentiates intense violence/intense nudity and "Prolonged" intense violence/intense nudity?!?!

    Is there a timer? If so how long is long enough to qualify for AO?!?

    And finally.. what is less harmful about the duration of "intense violence/intense nudity"?

    All of these ratings seem confused and unclear, but as long as the politicians feel better about what they spend their time on, i guess it doesn't matter if the ratings are accurate or effective...

    It seems history tells a different story, if you look at the facts, Bill Clinton won by a bigger lead than George Bush, which would mean a bigger percentage of people united behind him...

    "In 1996, Clinton won by 8.2 million votes over Republican Bob Dole, while Perot received 8.1 million votes. In 2004, George W. Bush won by 3.5 million votes."

    "Bill Clinton never once broke the 50 percent barrier in his two elections, garnering only 43 percent in 1992 and 49 percent in '96"

    So if Ross perot hadn't taken any votes then you would have definitely seen a greater than 51% vote for Clinton...

    Just because George Bush won through fear mongering and a lack of a better option, doesn't mean people were united For Bush, they were either scared about the future of the US or didn't have a better option... that is seen by his current approval rating.

    This is more like leaving your front door wide open and handing out floor plans to people passing by on the street, any reasonable person would assume that you wanted them to go inside.. and I think that is all that needs to be proven in court... what a reasonable person would be expected to think...

    This is a good point but also if it was legal you wouldn't have to smoke it, smoking is just the most cost effective way to get high since it is so expensive being a black market item.

    Back in the day before it was illegal, you could buy hash chocolates (potent marijuana derivative covered in chocolate), so if it is legal you get rid of one of the biggest reasons critics have for keeping it illegal, the whole 3x deadlier than Tobacco arguement.

    It seems like this is already happening, albeit illegally.

    I know many people who partake of pot regularly, even on a daily basis, who hold down steady employment and are otherwise completely legal contributing members of society...
