Ya, but then you won't get a good seat (especially if it's opening weekend).
That's a good strategy but it only works for less popular movies. Plus, sometimes they like to fck with you and don't show any previews and you miss a good chunk of the movie (happened to me once).
What REALLY pisses me off is that the projectionists have no idea what they're doing. Half the time the film is either too blurry or too dark. One time, the film jittered a bit for the first 30 minutes (made me want to puke) and was told that it was the way they got the film, the studio screwed up. Thank you Disney for ruining a great Miyazaki film! For some reason, the theatre still decided to show the film, and collect the full $10. There was no warning posted at the wicket either (and they knew about it, they admitted it).
This is actually a huge help for me. My gmail address name is quite dumb, and I have my own email address at my own domain that I have forwarded to gmail. But when I respond, they see my stupid gmail account name. Now I can make it look like the mail is sent from my domain! Plus, I can also add my companies' email address and make it look like I'm sending mail from work!
While everything you said is absolutely true, if these games don't come out during the fall, what are we going to be playing then? Metroid pinball? (hey, if it's good?)
It would suck if all the games then come out during the second week of January all at the same time. Let's space these games out a bit!
How is it that you can consider Warioware a must buy but not Meteos. I own both and can easily say that Meteos is one of the best handheld game released in the past 12 months.
I got bored of warioware after a week. I bought Meteos last month, and still play it almost daily. Meteos is the best puzzle game I've played since Tetris, IMHO of course.
Awesome DS games available now (and not on any other systems): Meteos (better than Lumines!) Kirby's Canvas Curse Advance Wars Dual Strike Nintendogs Warioware touched Yoshi Touch & Go
Awesome PSP games available now (and not on any other systems): Lumines
Better yet, who needs discs? Just as CDs don't need a succesor (DVD Audio? feh!), DVD's successor may be internet distributed content. This is where the xbox 360 or other set-top boxes come in handy, they can stream content from your computer to your TV. The 360 can even do HD content! Droool...
Who makes it past the first few pages of results anyways? After a certain point, the resulting web pages are meaningless. So does this mean that Yahoo returns more results, and consequently, more meaningless results than Google?
I'd be personally satisfied with a limit of 1 result, as long as it's exactly what I'm searching for. You get my point.
I play my DS almost daily, what games have you been playing.
I've been playing Meteos non-stop, when I get bored of that, I'll get Kirby: Canvas Curse. After that, there's the new Advance Wars game (coming out in 2 weeks).
It makes it rather easy for a hacker to observe exactly when the authentication takes place. They can take the encrypted response and chew on it offline to find the WEP key. It's like basically taking a bright pink arrow that says: If you break these few encrypted bytes, you're in!
Good job, but try enabling WPA if you can, a knowledgable hacker can break WEP encryption in only a few minutes.
3) Enabled MAC based access control
Rather pointless, anyone can change their MAC address, and once they break the encryption, they can see what MAC addresses are allowed by observing traffic.
4) Changed the default SSID
Pointless from a security perspective, although it's good to choose a unique SSID in case your neighbour buys a similar access point. Changing the SSID merely helps avoid confusion.
5) Disabled DHCP
Pointless as well, any hacker can assign themselves a static IP and observe what IP range the network accepts.
6) Moved the AP to the center of my house in the basement (less signal out in the wild that way)
Pointless! Hackers have bigger antennaes than you! It doesn't matter where the AP is.
7) Disabled SSID broadcast
Pointless. Hackers can still EASILY see your network even with SSID disabled. This just makes your network less convenient for you to use since Windows can't see it. There are wireless tools other than Windows XP available, and they don't rely on the SSID broadcast.
8) Disabled Open System and enabled shared key
No! Shared authentication sends out a challenge to a connecting device in clear text which can easily be intercepted. Use open system!
In the end, enabling the highest encryption possible is the best you can do! Changing your password on your AP/router is good too.
I guess they figured coming out 2nd didn't work for the Sega Master, since it came out about a year after the NES, and it bombed worse than the 3 latter systems (Genesis was succesful though!)
They both have their advantages and disadvantages, but that does not mean that LCDs are not better for some people (or most).
LCDs are lighter to carry (good for LAN parties), use less desk space (good for saving space), offer a totally different way of viewing images (the image you see is not scanned to the screen 72 times a second), some people can't stand CRTs. And newer LCDs have a very high response time, so they're good for gaming. Plus, they use less power.
Am I missing something? (BTW, I'm writing this on a CRT;)
I also think that people will buy dual-cores eventually because eventually they will be utilized properly and their favourite apps + games will require (or benefit) them.
Will buying the latest video card benefit you more than a mid-range card NOW? Probably not, but down the road when games use the fancier shaders, its' value will show. These technologies need to be released BEFORE they're taken advantage of, since this isn't a perfect world.
Lots of people have Athlon 64's, yet use Windows XP (which is 32-bit). But down the road, a 64-bit Windows may come out, or they may decide to switch to Linux.
Got any windows versions?

Is it too much to ask that the Muslim world join the civilized world? It's easy now since we did it first.

Try to come here, silicon north, i.e. Ottawa Canada.
We've got lots of high tech companies here, and the weather couldn't be anymore worse! I mean, refreshing!
Alright you asked for it!

Will it run on Linux? Seriously, that would be nice.
Since when is Canada a city? I thought it was a country.

By contract, I find I'm still playing my PSP games, and I'm not finding the novelty coming off.
I'd also be playing the overhyped PSP instead of my amazing DS if I was under contract

The DS's future is very bright IMO
I think its' strength may yet lie in support for UMD movies.
There may not be many games released, but there seems to be no shortage of movies.
I like the more positive spin: "Any significantly advanced form of technology is indistinguishable from magic"
"People keep saying this, but I've never seen any evidence for it."
Ya, you just said it twice.
You're thinking of John Jackson. -Futurama Reference

Good job.

Shhhh! The mods are SLEEPING!
$3 a movie? I doubt it.
$3 a music video? That sounds more reasonable.
