Opera 8 Released

I personally LOVE Opera! When I first tried it I noticed how fast it was so I kept using it. I like the interface better and I actually dont mind the google ads. It's alot better then the picture ads..
I like the way the Tabs are spaced and I like the email interface and how easy it is to setp newsgroup feeds.
At first it seemed a bit blocky because of all the options on the screen but I removed the ones I didn't need and now the interface looks cleaner to me.
IMO this is well worh paying for and will try 8 when I get home.
I really don't see anything different here then any other distro's. Actually Mandrake, Gentoo and Red Hat look alot slicker just from those screenshots.
Agreed, Having worked for sony's computer support section before most of it got outsourced to India. Alot of customers would complain about all the items running in memory at bootup. I would clean 99% of it out on first call lol. Every now and then I would go back and check on a few calls I took and most of the time they would never call back. Vaio Notebooks are slick but you have to clean them up to get the most out of them.
Man I have installed 3 different versions of Linux within the last week to test it out and sure enough NONE Of them support the nforce Nic card out of the box! To be fair Windows XP Pro had no clue either. But with windows I simply went into device manager/update driver and placed my nforce cd in and that's that.
So then I went to nforce website and downloaded the RPM for Linux and ran that, Sure enough upon following the README it still had no clue! wtf over???
We really need to get beyond this failure point in Linux.
I hate to rant like a newbie but I started with Red Hat 5.0 and have came back over time over and over again with at least 4 different distro's and it's the same ole shit.
Give us a unified area to control hardware, To load a module properly etc...If I download a driver and run the RPM or tar let me load it properly instead of telling me to go to a forum or something.
Thanks
I agree completly. I see nothing new in this with the exception of them rearranging things and cleaning up the menu and a few others..I wouldn't pay $90 for it.
lmfao! You just can't make this shit up folks..lol

Brilliant! lol
First Clue for the Clueless:
My first installations for Windows (I use it; get over it):
Second Clue:
but if you're anything like me your machine is formatted at least once a month.
Linux is buggy. Dependencies is the most of the problem. If you want to get stuff done and move on with your normal life then get windows. If you want to spend time and hack some bastard code and submit bug reports to support the community then stay with linux.

On the front page there's a Microsoft ad touting how much better their server is and less expensive?? wtf? lol
