Actually, I'd be highly suprised if this EVER made it to the Supreme Court. I heartily believe this will be overturned by any court within Ohio. At least let me have the faith in that. Also, I'll once again say that blaming the current President for EVERY FSCKING THING WRONG IN THIS COUNTRY just goes to show how innane and reactionary you are. Get off this "I hate bush" SHIT... If you don't like his policies get your ass into politics and do something about it. Quit whining on Internet forums about how so-and-so is evil... ESPESCIALLY if you don't have another practical solution for the problems said person is facing.

For reference... EVERY President has appointed Supreme Court justices(if there was an opening in their term) that were aligned with their views. Faulting someone who doesn't agree with you that appoints(with the authority you don't have) someone you disagree with is purely posturing.

By the way... All of the appointees were approved... You don't like it? Call your senator and congressman and ask him/her why they didn't do more to stop the appointment.

Actually, I believe it is. There's this pesky little thing about innocent until proven guilty. I'm sure that it could also be construed as cruel and unusual punishment. I have always been a supporter of aligning sex crimes with murder(my personal opinion) becuase you do end up killing the victim in many small ways. However, this is a step too far.

Tell me that when you can make $10 million per year.

On a side note... the USA is based on a mostly capatilist society, not socialist. One of the main reasons we are a powerful nation is that we(in the past) had a STRONG work ethic and can-do attitude. If something didn't go our way, we did our damndest to turn it the direction we wanted. With the institution of Free Money for Life (a bastardized welfare), we now have an attitude of "Who's going to take care of me" and "Why should I get a job when I can have everything given to me on a monthly basis?".

You want to see the US turn around? Start holding people (and in the case of corporations, the board of directors) responsible for their actions. Also, for every frivolous law suit that gets thrown out immediately, the lawyer and plaintiff should have to pay court costs, the defendant's attourney fees, the juror salary for any jurors called in to serve, the electrical bill, the court reporter's salary for that time, the balifs' salaries for that time, and the judges salary for the time that he spent to throw it out. Then we will see stuff start to get better.

If you are an Engineer in Training(EiT) or Professional Engineer(PE) and you are serious about your job and your career, you are aware that there is a code of ethics for any Engineer; therefore, this IS the ONLY OPTION left. The solution to education is that we elevate it to status that it deserves. Talk to many successfull people, and I'd wager that they could point to less than five (5) teachers that made a difference in their life and learning. Our Education system has these major ERRORS in it's design.

1.) Grade school is focused on churning out people who meet an arbitrary number on college entrance exams

2.) College is focused on churning out as many BS students as possible.

3.) It's too easy to get a teaching certificate

3.) ALL CLASSROOM TEACHERS ARE PAID TOO LITTLE

Solve problems 1, 2, and alter those to focus on critical thinking and you'll see a major difference in our children. Solve problem 3, 4, and we will never have to speak about teacher shortages again.
