All the steroids are doing is suppressing your immune system. This is not a cure you are simply treating the symptoms and depending on how severe the infection is, may be the worst possible thing you can do.
I played the demo of Sonata when it dropped to X-Box Live Marketplace and was just blown away by the music. The big sell point on the game for me however was a little feature tucked away in the settings menus that allowed you to assign other controllers to the other party members for combat, making the game coop. So once I get off work I will swing by my local game shop, grab a copy and then invite a couple friends over to play through it. Congrats to the PS3 for getting this title added to their library but I am really surprised that the Wii doesn't have it.
Surprisingly enough not Herbert Smith. TFA states that the material was named after a man the discovering geologists admired greatly.
On another note, this material seems really interesting and I hope its unique properties can be applied usefully.
They ask the question, "If we decide that it's no longer necessary, can we erase any part of the Constitution?" The answer is, Yes. The constitution was made to be altered, revised and rewritten as needed by the society that it governed. In that way it could continue to be relevant and not just a piece of paper. Does that mean that we should abolish this particular amendment? I personally think no, not at this time. At some point in the future however when we have all reached a more enlightened state it may no longer be nessesary to have an armed population. I also find it quite comforting to know that no leader in his right mind would want to invade a country where the amount of firearms available outnumbers the population by a factor of three or more. (thinks of Iraq) My point stands.
This isnt about some guy spreading the word about Serenity and getting sued for it. This is about some jerk trying to profit by selling Serenity T-shirts on Cafepress and Universal rightfully protecting their IP and then whining about it when they bring the hammer down.
That said if you're looking for some really good SciFi go ahead and start watching Battlestar Galactica, I personally think its even better then Firefly; which is impressive in and of itself.
That the US already has several floating nuclear power plants and alot of submerged ones which all seem to function perfectly fine. I am refering to Aircraft Carriers and Nuclear Submarines. There is nothing wrong with a floating nuclear power plant as long as it is well maintained and stationed in a calm area so it is not damaged by bad weather. Obviously the writers of the article prefer to fear monger then look at the facts though.
and yes, while this is somewhat offtopic I figured i'd mention it; I am currently fixing my girlfriend's dad's computer and he bought the McAfee security center. After installing it proceeds to act like a more annoying version of zone alarm and now while i'm browsing slashdot waiting for the virus scan to finish it tells me that yro.slashdot.org is a phishing site.
People are not starving in this world because I eat meat, there is more then enough food produced worldwide to feed everyone. Feeding the poor however is not profitable and since most of the countries that produce a major food surplus do so for a profit(US) they simply are not going to give that away when the income it provides can be used to fund such things as invading said starving nation for its natural resources. Huh, that turned way more political than I wanted it to...
...the plot to a zombie movie? Uranium eating bacteria mutate and infect humans, turning them into radioactive zombies....Maybe i've been playing too much Dead Rising.
...but does this mean Sony is confident in their ability to meet demand for the console? If yes, then good for them, if no and they fall short and are unable to fufill are preorders there are going to be some VERY pissed off consumers out there. Not that i'm worried b/c i'm just waiting for Halo 3 to launch at the same time so I can finish playing Halo 2.
Horrible at content! Yes, the lionhead games are unique and different and some of the gameplay features are very fun, however that all means squat if the game you make doesnt have the content to make it worthwhile. For example Fable was a very fun game, but its also the shortest RPG i've EVER played, totaling all of 8 hours of gameplay. I expect 8 hours from a FPS but from a RPG I expect to get at least 30 hours of normal gameplay out of it before i've finished the main story. So go ahead and make your new and innovative features Lionhead, but while your at it make sure you add in some content this time around and if you find you are not up for the job hand the engine over to someone whose proven themselves able to do such a job; Bioware for instance. Just my $0.02.
There are a few reasons I highly enjoyed the game: 1. Inovative and fun gameplay, you have to make a tactical decision on which weapons to carry, when to take cover so your shields can regenerate and when its worth using grenades. The gameplay is actually very similar to Call of Duty 2 which I have been currently playing. 2. Easy online play with Xbox live and matchmaking, though I generally don't play with people other then my friends the fact that its a simple way to get together makes it very popular. 3. A fairly decent and interesting story, say what you will about the annoying cliffhanger but you wouldn't be annoyed by it if you weren't already interested in the story. 4. In single play the enemy AI is pretty damned good, will run for cover, set up ambushes and flank your position. 5. Coop singleplayer. Need I say more. Thats all I can think of off the top of my head. If anyone else wants to add they're welcome.
Most of the money is being funneled into the Stargate program to build more F-304s.
Of all time.

Uh, if you say so. This game has been out in Japan for 2 months now.

Well, frankly...because its popular and there is a large group of people who are interested.

Too soon man, too soon.
You're right, erase is not the proper term to use but the net effect of removing that part of the constitution from play is the same.

Bill and Ted's vision of the future was unrealistic and yet here we have another step towards it.
Now, people who keep tagging every article "itsatrap" This would be a proper usage of that tag.
Anyone? Also, Fallout an honerable mention, bah, I should learn never to read these top x lists.

The next SciFi channel movie.

I have to wonder why this was given a 7 if the book was so badly edited, written and completely boring 5/6 of the time.

...If the game doesnt suck. Neither of those games looks particularly promising IMHO.
