I wouldn't necessarily be too keen about my own child drinking under age, but I wouldn't be at all happy about his invasion of privacy either - I'd consider that stalking.
If the pictures are posted to a profile with public access, what privacy is there to invade? You can't put these pictures up on display, then get upset that people see them.
"Parents that truly care take the time to look at the back of the box"
Where does this time come from? We can say the same thing about umpteen hundred billion things parents *should do* where does that leave time for parents to have a personal life? When you have a kid, you shouldn't expect to have a personal life anymore. If someone can't make that dedication, they shouldn't be raising children.
I cornered Primal Airs for a couple weeks on my server. (While farming for my epic flyer) I didn't try to drive up the average though. I simply had the funds to buy up all competition and repost at my own price. Between spending all my free time on the elemental plateau and buying up all available supply, I had my epic bought in about 3 weeks. Then the Netherwing dailies helped me recoup my investment.
Well, I was in a manufacturing corporation for about 2 years in Eve. The key to it IS cooperation. Make friends. Set up mutually beneficial relationships. Part of doing business in the game is being able to secure your supply lines. By either defending it yourself, or getting someone to defend it for you. (Or just buying from someone who can do those things) You want to get together with a group of people and hunt an enemy? Great! Go mercenary. Believe me, there's a market for it.
What about the Rolling Stones? If they want to keep making money, they should keep making music. Even if the old work goes public domain, nothing is stopping them making a shit-ton of money performing the public domain work. Public domain doesn't mean it can't be profited from, it just means anyone can profit from it.
So how about we tie the copyright to the specific work, and not abstract portions of it.
If Steamboat Willie is past copyright and in the public domain, we can use it without permission from Disney. We can create derivative works using the character likenesses contained in that work without permission. We CANNOT use cartoons still protected by copyright, and cannot make derivative works using a character likeness featured in newer cartoons still protected by copyright.
Obviously, this may not be realistic given the way characters evolve over time. But it is still an idea that protects the interests of both the public, and the content creators.
I have yet to see a NPC in any game provide the kind of challenge another human being can. Got a pirate that's terrorizing your preferred portion of lowsec? Gang up with other victims and drive them out. Besides, isn't it more satisfying to defeat the asshole with a superiority complex than to beat a NPC?
Properly fitting a ship in Eve is much more interesting than min/maxing your rogue in WoW, and success in Eve pretty much requires you to build social networks. Solo play is generally quite limited. 'Typical' MMOs just don't hold a candle to Eve in either respect you mentioned.
Currency in SL is exchangable for currency in RL, supported by the game developer. These people were scammed out of real money. It's the same thing as stealing someones chips in a casino and cashing them in.
I think it will mostly sell to new people tho. It will be three years before these people buy another PC. Perhaps word of mouth with their friends tho.
Exactly. In the examples given above, the Wii passed the 'word of mouth' test with flying colors. We'll see how this box does. I hope it does well, and helps push non-windows OS'es into the mainstream.
I don't believe in Gravity. The Earth just sucks.
Asteroids? In my solar system? It's more likely than you think!
And the school is not contractually obligated to let them participate in an extracurricular activity, either.

Out of all the things you listed, only one requires you to actually be driving the car.
Believe me, many of us are aware. Damn the telecom industry. Damn them to hell.
There is a SSB-type game available on live arcade - Small Arms.
If Nintendo had any more buzz, women (and some men) would be lining up to ride it.
Seriously, the Wii is one of the hottest products of the year and Nintendo gains nothing by limiting supply this far after release.

I think there is a meaningful difference between:
Personally, I think the second should be disallowed completely, but I'm sure the major distributors would disagree with me.

Currency in SL is transferrable to RL currency. It has an exchange rate set by Linden Labs. Do you still have the same opinion, knowing this?
Sounds like this person is trying to manipulate Auctioneer averages.
You can display a Camero in public without getting arrested though...

I had to pull out my soundtrack CD, as I had completely forgot that track. Agreed.
Are you referring to Barber's Adagio, which was used in the first level of Homeworld? That piece has been around quite a bit longer.
Perhaps juicy military contracts will encourage Apple to expand their product offerings to fill that gap?
Another big difference: if traffic gets bad or something happens, cars can stop. Planes fall.
