Whether a ship anchored offshore qualifies as "fixed" or not, well I'm not sure.
A tricky one, for sure. Oftentimes fixed is regarded as Point-to-Point, while mobile Point-to-MultiPoint.
The 4W EIRP is for PtMP - PtP/Fixed is only limited by the decrease active gain/increase passive gain rule and the fact that there comes a point when you can't reduce the wattage of the radio without attentuating before the antenna element.
Equipment brands aside- It's not so much the cost of the radio as the cost of the antenna.
Per FCC regs, a Point-to-Point connection can have an 'unlimited' power output - that is to say, following the outlined methods of reducing the intentional radiation before the antenna - you are only limited by the radio's ability to scale its signal down, the passive gain and quality of your antenna's element, and the attentuation of the connecting hardware between the radio and the antenna (cabling, connectors, etc).
Thus, an inexpensive 50mw radio can legally output more power than, say, a pricey 1w radio because of this regulation.
The Tektronix/Xerox solid ink machines do a fantastic job. Print quality is excellent, and ink replacement a snap. The lack of plastic involved is great news for landfills.
I do have to admit though, I really enjoy harassing my business partner about the solid ink. I refer to the blocks as "crayons" just because it drives him nuts. One time after he complained about ordering ink, I bought him a box of Crayolas. He was not pleased. I, of course, was.:D:D:D
Yep. Just because we didn't need to authenticate users, the machine keeps shutting itself off. Isn't that user-friendly?
It's common knowledge that 2003 Small Business edition requires being promo'd to Primary Domain Controller. It's in the License Agreement. It's been in dozens of bulletins and technet articles and the like. It's in the FAQ for the product.
That specific version of 2003 is a price-break deal for small businesses. It includes editions of Exchange and SQL tailored to the needs of these entities. The price break comes with a few limitations, and the DC requirement to ensure the discounted license isn't abused.
You saved money by installing this lesser version. You can't expect its full feature set. Don't like it? Scrap your system and go Linux.
I'd wager a guess that it's because Office creates documents, and is not just a viewer like IE. Providing a version of the Office suite of programs for Mac ensures the best possible translation of these documents.
Open Office and others keep getting better at handling these formats, but MS often makes changes. Whether this is a monopolistic approach or simply responding to users' wants with changes in format to support a larger feature set is impossible know for certain without being in the boardroom. My guess? It's a bit of both... They're a business, and it's common practice. (Take a peek at Adobe.)
A couple months ago it was VISA only, MC not accepted. Now MC works but VISA doesn't? Trouble in quasi-legal paradise.
I'll have to find a new source for my pre-paid "gift" cards. I've been ordering prepaid VISAs that allow online/catalog ordering for a small handling fee as I don't want to send my real CC data overseas. Worth a little peace of mind, IMO.
A very good point.. Especially considering the increase of Mac fanboy base here.
Nothing screams teenage mindset more.

One would think so, but another comment on the torrent claimed that there was no lang param. Could just be a lack of smack-in-the-face instruction on the insta-help screen.
Checking out the comments on the tracker, it seems this could be a German version. Can anyone confirm/deny? I've got a nice DL groove on - and only unused bandwidth is truly wasted - but I'm hoping my interest was not piqued for naught.

Cakewalk!
...Just like most lawish stuff.
It means:

I hear that.
[Windowskey] C M D [Enter] is like 100 keystrokes too many. They should know I want a terminal up 24x7.
In 3 months you save at least 25% and have working drivers. Probably a few sets, even.
A Haiku for you:
You can't become cool
Buying overpriced hardware.
Sucks for you, lamer.
I for one welco- eh. To hell with it.
Kangaroos are more than welcome to obtain low-level access to my OS. I've got mad respect for their built-in pockets.
Genetics wasn't as friendly to me. I had to BUY my Scott-E-Vest.
..microsoft branded hardware devices (keyboards, mice, personal castration devices, etc...)Is that a Zune in your pocket, or have you just been neutered?
Forget frozen pizzas...
Load up on Hot Pockets - They require radiation anyways. The liquid death filling needs a few extra electrons to stabilize above 0degC.
This line of thinking also makes me wonder if we could insulate with Twinkies.
You get an error # Event Viewer that you can lookup.
*gasp*

Thank goodness for you, we're not talking pirated movies here.
You'd get licked to death by Lucky and Flo; the MPAA's disc-sniffing golden retrievers.

Interesting concept. Sometimes it would feel nice to virtually live another life in such a detailed manner. This one is making me sleepy.
Now if only Microsoft could do something with this.....
