He and his administration just insinuated it at every possible opportunity.
Correct. Just like he did last night in the debate, when he said "The enemy attacked us" giving reasons why we had to invade Iraq. Kerry promptly pointed this out for those of us that didn't catch it.
What rot! Creative names are easier to remember. Would it be easier to remember names like Gentoo, Debian, RedHat, Mandrake, etc., or names like MyLinux, YourLinux, HisLinux, YetAnotherLinux?
Sorry, but you got MyLinux confused with YourLinux. It's actually the other way around. My head hurts just thinking about it.
The environmental benefits of a lessened burden on centralized, often fossil fuel or nuclear, power generation plants would be considerable.
Power companies would be sure to get upset over this. The adoption of these houses would destroy their profits. In our society, unfortunately, economic benefits take priority over environmental benefits.
Gaim is easily one of the best open-source apps for non-tech savvy users. Without gaim (and Firefox) I wouldn't have been able to convince some of my friends to try linux.
The Hugo Award is given every year for the best science fiction or fantasy stories of the previous year, and for related areas in fandom, art and dramatic presentation.
The CMYK Offset printing has tough competition from machines like the HP Indigo 3050. These baby's print from RGB files and make really stunning prints.
While I agree that the 3050 makes incredible offset-quality prints (being an Indigo operator myself), it cannot be considered a competing product against offset due to its speed. Have you ever tried a 50,000 count magazine run on a 3050? You'd be running that job for months, while an offset web press will scream through it in a couple shifts.
Im curious as to how will Scribus will handle spot colors for those of us who need more than CMYK.
There are however, many XMPCR auctions that are currently going for over $300. This is probably an attempt by an ebay seller to get a little higher price than others through use of Slashdot. Though, if I were them, I'd have a couple friends bid 400 or so, just to make it look as if it really were going to sell for that much.
This is obviously Marilyn Manson and Janet Jackson's fault.
Imagine a beowulf cluster of those. Please don't hit me...
>In all, more than $1.45 billion (£800 million) has been pledged
HOLY SHIT!!! That's alot of money... I think I'm in the wrong business.
My used laptop can do all that, plus play dvds surf the web, play games etc. And it cost me a couple hundred less on ebay.
Yeah fine. But I think we all need to know how this can fight terrorism to make it a worthwhile technology.

You ruined it for me. Way to go man. You could have warned me.
I think we need a new option for moderation: "-1: You said the word terrorist"
Not to be confused with Slashdotters who use the similar spelling 'dicks'.
I thought the holy grail was nanotech?

Steaming pile of bullshit. I swear, if the subject has the word "nuclear" in it, Slashdot's about as reliable as the Weekly World News.
You got a problem with Weekly World News? Watch your back, batboy is coming for you.
Maybe being slashdoted increased its activity...
Gaim has been up there for a long long time IIRC.

Better plan for engineers: Stick to your computer and order a pizza!

Just goes to show you, there have always been nerds, and there always will be.

Where do I sign up. I've spent months working on an intense helicopter simulator, fine-tuning my skills to perfection.

Sounds safer than something burning to me.
Those are some pretty cool looking fans in there!
They are fans, right?
Imagine a Beowulf cluster of uhhh.. something... Just saying, you missed one.
