It's an athlon 64 with the 64-bit part disabled. Dumped down to 32-bit. Maybe someone will find the secret solder-point so you can mod it back to a 64-bit, but then again, I wouldn't solder on my cpu. ..

My other thought is that this is a convenient port of opengl to any platforms that currently do not support it.

It's not a port, it's just calling opengl functions in php. You'd have to vnc to a windows box or something to view this on a platform that doesn't support openGL. What platform doesn't support opngl and supports php though? Maybe there are some..?

Yes, I was gonna mention the proxy method. This is the same situation (technically speaking) as when the chinese gov't blocks webpages, and then some non-chinese internet user donates bandwidth by allowing chinese to use him as a proxy. The kiddieporn fuckers outside the uk will just let the uk pedos use their connection. Then, they might discover that you can establish an encrypted link... Sounds like the coppers have a huge job ahead of them if they want to shut down the kiddieporn industry... :(

Just set up your own kannel wap gateway. Use your own gateway instead of the one your provider gives you (it's in your wap settings). They might block it though (my provider started blocking this last month)... But if they do, you should complain, because there's no legit reason to keep you from connecting to your own servers, when it's clearly possible, and requires no effort on their part. Oh, take a look at push too. You can use Kannel for this. You might need a way to get content to the mobile net though, to send sms.

I was thinking the same thing. I wonder if TriStar Pictures will be filing a law suit for the copy right?!?!?!?

Probably not, then they'd have to admit to being behind that movie. Don't get me wrong, I love Gibson, especially neuromancer, but that movie is.. crap. Keanu looks like he's trying to learn to act, and ice cube or whovever it is is sorta ridiculous... Wish they could remake it and do it for real this time... And lose ice cube, for chrissake. Even though they're supposed to be 'lo-tek's, somehow I get the impression that none of them would know how to use, let alone build, anything more complicated than a... kitchen table. I mean, they've built a fucking electronic interface to a dolphins brain, but... argh.. [/rant]
