I'm no fucking libertarian. The last person I met who called himself a libertarian had a lookout post by his house where he was always sitting with a huntig rifle & binoculars, spikes on his road ( and sometimes on the public road), and had covered his house in steel plates to withstand gunfire... I don't feel like sharing a label with him. The other two are fine compliments though...

I know what good it is. It's a way of keeping 'scientists' employed (scientific welfare) so they don't pollute the job and gene pools.

I'm considering doin research on the 'how', 'why', and 'classification' of belly button lint. I'm sure there's a government funded grant in it. We REALLY NEED TO KNOW THESE THINGS 'just in case' they are usefull in the future.

Yeah, let's keep the scientists out of the gene pool, maybe even replace them with Christian Scientists(tm). I mean, why would we want people to have even the slightest hint of intellegence, I mean, the public, dear lord. You should let the current administration know you have devised such an excellect scheme for them...

I am Norwegian, and I am quite happy about the current regulations. There's even a nice government agency that you can report violators to. In addition, they are 'active', in the way that they actually go out and look for violations, instead of just relying on reports. Very nice. I can actually avoid getting my mailbox full of ads every day, even advertisement addressed to me. Not like when I was in the US... :/

The thing is, I think, their usual environment was drastically changed over a very short amount of time. This can be very unsettling for animals (stress=no mating), and fatal for plants (can't move, highly specialized). The big carnivores prey on omnivores and herbivores, and the total amount of food to go around in the system decreases. This, coupled with the (maybe) stressed out dinos, could be part of the explanation. However, I am not a biologist.
