FTA: "Future policy should consequently focus on setting standards for non-exhaust emissions and encouraging weight reduction of all vehicles to significantly reduce PM emissions from traffic." http://www.sciencedirect.com/s...
Over time batteries will get smaller, lighter, and more efficient. So weight on an electric car is not fixed versus on a conventional car.
The altitude for flying is fixed. Meaning planes only fly at certain heights. Therefore the notion that as plane sheds weight it will climb to higher altitudes is false.
Seriously. Not even worth discussing. Plenty of papers based on actual research that debunk this notion about dying manufacturing jobs.
The white elephant in the room is manufacturing left America because of cheap slave labor wages. Manufacturing did not leave the United States to go to another industrial nation like Germany. If it had and we saw a drop off in manufacturing then his hypothesis would have a point. As such it did not. It went to 3rd world countries to pay 3rd world wages. Given the cheapness of the labor, companies could OVER MANUFACTURE and create a situation where you had supply exceeding demand. This is what you see happening with OIL. OPEC kept production levels high to drive out drillers in the United States. But no one and I mean no one believes that oil won't rebound in price and that oil is not profitable and that oil jobs won't be in demand and high paying.
This is what you see when you have an over supply and low wages that do not allow you to consume.
And I hate to break it to this douche bag - this Services sector bull crap do not bull your chestnuts out of a recession. Germany recovered, wait for it, because they have a manufacturing sector! They mentioned this bull crap 20 years ago. At the time they called it White Collar jobs. Problem is, these White Collar jobs are going to people in India - oh hey what did he say about India - who have H1B Visas. So you lose your Blue Collar manufacturing job to someone in India and then you lose your White Collar job to someone in India.
What's next, an argument that people are being protectionist about White Collar jobs by denying H1B Visas???
So you just admitted that changing the connection for headphones means nothing to you because you don't use them therefore the change is not necessary.
You might want to read what you write before you post Potsy.
Capitalism is not a system of government. Capitalism is an economic system. Capitalism in no way ensures progress and freedom. In fact lessee faire capitalism often leads to a lack of freedom and repression.
You mean government investing in infrastructure. Wow.
You're free market screed is misplaced. There was and is a lot of opposition by market forces towards renewables, particularly from the fossil fuel industry. Renewables do not have the same political clout that the fossil fuel industry has, nor do they enjoy special treatment that the fossil fuel industry receives from government.
If this were truly a free market, renewables would be offered the same opportunities as fossil fuels and would see a much greater growth.
Hardly. This is not political satire. He is clearly profiting off of his likeness. Any individual or corporation would bring action. You just can't sell a t-shirt with someone's likeness for profit without permission. Period.
In the scientific vernacular, a "theory" is defined as a proven hypothesis.

It's a matter of efficiency. That's how solar energy is generated.
The altitude for flying is fixed. Meaning planes only fly at certain heights. Therefore the notion that as plane sheds weight it will climb to higher altitudes is false.
Which nothing compared to the subsidies that Exxon Mobile gets.

Which nothing compared to the subsidies that Exxon Mobile gets. Fuck off ass-hole.
Actually, APPLE is whining about paying taxes on money that APPLE WANTS to bring back to the United States.
Fuck off ass-hole.
Actually they're not. You might want to look up dead zones sometime.
First: There are already computing courses offered in high school.
Second: They are trying to make it a requirement. It's not necessary because,
Third: There are already other courses that do far more to enrich a students cognitive abilities, such as learning a foreign language.
So yes it would be crazy to steer you kids towards CS, especially in High School if they have no interest.

Dude you are not getting Gigabit speeds. So stop.
Hardly. It doesn't take much to over your bandwidth allotment. Not too mention the speeds are nowhere near what you get from wired.
LMOL yeah I guess you forgot about the government bail out of wall street. Jack ass.
Using your own money *IS* the definition of capitalism.
