Kerio is primarilly a firewall. But it also asks for permission before it lets anything execute. Any new.exe has to ask any program trying to install, any program launching another program, anything trying to startup on windows boot etc.
It helps keep anything from installing itself without you knowing, and if a progrtam does manage to piggyback in with another program you'll see it when it tries to startup.
Because it requires permission for so much I turn it off whenevr I install a program/game that I know doesnt contain spyware so I dont have to continually click yes.
The ability for several people to play off one cart wirelessly is the best feature of the DS.
I remember when the GB first came out either nobody had the same games. As such the only game I've EVER played multiplayer on GB was Tetris which came bundled with the system.
I use kerio to tell me when something wants to run. It's nice because not even MS programs can start without permission. I also check msconfig > startup fairly regularly as well.
My cousins gave me what was at the time a pretty decent computer with *shudder* winME that "didnt work". Because it wouldnt even finish booting anymore.
I started it in safe mode went to the startup menu, and fell in the floor laughing. The only thing wrong with it, besides the fact that it had ME on it, was that my cousin had d/l so many spyware/malware/tollbar crap that the computer didnt have enough processing power to get it all started. after disabling all that crap and running spybot and adaware it started just fine.
I dont know if the screw in bulbs are the same as the big tube flourescants, but I have yet to see one of the big ones just decide to fail. Normally when I big one dies it does so over a LOOOOOOOONG period of time. It'll start being slower and slower to come on telling you that hey it's time to change. We have a shorter flourescant at my house that has to be touched before it will come on but I know we've had the same light up there for the last 10 years or so.
Since they are tracking d/ls they should be able to see who is being d/led and arrange payment to the artists/labels for their songs being d/led.
The money to pay them would come from legit banner ads within the program interface. Think about how large of an audience advertisers would be able to reach. I'm not talking about the usual hit the monkey and win but legit ads for things like upcoming movies tennis shoes etc.
As long as the banner ads werent all that obtrusive and the prog didnt install any of the crap like the spyware that comes with KaZaa I would have no problem putting up with ads in exchange for free legit music.
1. Figure out how to circumvent RFID 2. Loudly proclaim that you dont know how 3. miss class and dont get caught 4. Continue denying it 5. ????? 6. profit
I didnt think Cars looked all that promising. Course I also thought the same thing about Monsters inc. and Incredibles so what do I know. Pixar always manages to surprise me with great movies.
True plus imagine what you could hire college students for. Especially if they were able to take calls in their house/dorm during certain hours of the day. Most already have at least a waorking knowledge of computers and speak at least passable english.

You mean only because she was drunk right ;)
I use Kerio for this. Even Windows programs have to ask for permission to start.
what age user are you dealing with?
wow I was thinking more along the lines of $20 or less per hour. most these students are perpetually broke and would balk at two high a price.
I'm going to start doing spyware removal next semester at my college campus. But I cant decide how much I should charge. What do yall think?
Something like
Spoiler warning!!.......... Ken Jennings and Jeopardy records click for details.
most colleges already have this data in a database for easy lookup by the admin.

I think the idea here is not to find out what price the store is charging. But to compare the stores price against Amazon's

not magic just a result of their ongoing contract with the prince of darkness.

Parent is right Pixar will be able to quickly get a lucrative deal to distribute their films.
If I was a distributer I'd be drooling over the chance to distrubute pixar films.
It's sad when the first thing that pops in your mind is "Oh disney's doing it themselves? nvr mind it's gonna suck"
