If you have any innovative/profit-making ideas, I think you should try that. Investing in stocks is an early start to lose money, so you can earn more money in the future. If you want to be more adventurous, you could invest in foriegn(non-U.S.) markets. You can always donate some to charity.
calendar.google.com redirects me to google.com, while other links like audio.google.com or browser.google.com, says "siteurl could not be found. Please check the name and try again." Is google also developing calendar?

All these features, if given to Open Source people, to write, will just take few days to get it done (I mean without any serious known bugs). Besides, all these features are already available in the market, either as freeware/shareware for various Windows version.
So, what did Microsoft actually do all these years after the release of Win XP? Trying to make Mac OS X code work on x86. Oh wait!!! Didn't Steve show at the conference - apple developers took few days to write an emulation that did this job?
This is going to be fun. Intel can only produce super heated blowtorches. Apple + Super Heated Intel Blowtorches = Hot Apple Pie. Intel makes lot of inferior products and innovation is not in their priority list. For example, I and my friend bought the same laptop model, with all the configurations same, except he went for Intel Celeron and I went for AMD Athlon. His computer turns into a burner within few minutes. No wonder Dell is being accused of not selling AMD chips.
When I used Hotmail, I used to get around 20-30 spam in my Inbox. Now with GMail or Yahoo Mail, I rarely get any. No wonder Steve is getting lot of spam. I recommend him to use GMail.:-)
True. Server - Linux will definitely grow at the cost of UNIX in server market. Apple-Intel-Mac will not affect it at all. Desktop - Apple-Intel's Mac will grow at a very expensive cost of Windows as the price of the same will come down and will be in direct competition with Windows PC's. Only for a short term, Linux will be hit. But, with the release of advanced and easy interfaces along with Linux distros such as (K)Ubuntu, it is Apple who got to be afraid. The only reason I can think Linux might take a big hit is because of licensing reasons. If patents are granted for stupid things, that could be a big problem for Linux. Also, another reason that could affect is corporations want to Increase/Use the Linux market more, but may not donate back much.
Besides the article, lot of people are finding or know the truth out. SCO is being suported by Microsoft for long time. Instead of directly dealing with IBM, Microsoft is being a coward and attacking Open Source Community through SCO to make their public image better.
They say Linux kernel is copied from UNIX. What about Microsoft's OS or applications? Lot of them are copied from many Mac features[in Longhorn] and code and standards from OSS [Almost all types of Windows platform.]
But, Microsoft knows how to turn the almost-perfect software into vice-versa.:-)
Earlier, I had similar problems. I started using Acrobat Speed Launcher (which stays in and occupies less memory) and I hope PDF documents in 1-2 seconds.
Another way is, before opening PDF documents on the browser, open the Acrobat Reader and then open the documents.
Not just transparent PNG, they have been asking for stable OS for a long time. Longhorn is going to be so fucked up. If there are 1000 security enhancements, it means there are going to be 1000^10 bugs atleast. Lot of people belive Longhorn to be revolutionary, but infact, it is going to be evolutionary. Its security features will be built on top of Windows XP SP2.No wonder Microsoft is screaming at the customers, now forcing them to update to Windows XP SP2. Windows XP SP2 makes windows more secure by crashing ZoneAlarm, etc. Till Windows XP SP1, only hackers could compromise a system. Microsoft didn't like that. It made SP2, so everybody can do it. Let's see how SP3, oops, Longhorn does.
OSS might look like lot of proprietary software in existance, such as OpenOffice. But, most of the proprietary software's coding standards suck when compared to OSS's standards. Lot of OSS's applications are reliable and fast. They made the interface similar to proprietary ones, so users switiching to OSS will not have a hard time.
Microsoft, for example, copies lot of code from OSS. Some of Windows 98 features was very similar to ones in UNIX. Longhorn is now a reimplementation of Tiger, Linux and other OSS.
I tried Longhorn Alpha sometime in late 2003 or early 2004. I couldn't believe it. A lot of features looked similar to Mac.
But, still microsoft products suck, even after copying. As Jobs said, they copy slowly and reimplement the code in such a way it keeps upto Microsoft's standards - crash very often.

This time it was Ballmer's table that was....:-)
intel inside, idiot outside.

This is nothing new. I bough my V300 a year back. I used the same tools, and I was able to transfer files/applications.
How much is exactly spent and how much goes into the pockets of politicans?
Include Intel too.
I suggest them to read the Slashdot comments too.

I use SmartCal. It is pretty good. Calendar + Contacts + Tasks + Notes + Links + Search + Add to Webpage + ...
More about features:

Linux is not ready for Desktop? Try (K)Ubuntu.

Now I have a good reason to upgrade from WinXP to Longhorn.
With genetic testing, no more of Bill Gates, Larry Page, Sergey Brin, Steve Jobs.....what would the world be?
Just Windows XP Starter Edition?
Next feature might be Music/Concert shows.
Purdue also has a 3D shape search. More can be found at Here .
